Beautiful building ,superb service.
We have visited many times over the years, with family for dinner, afternoon tea, & also for private functions inc my dad's wake.
On Sunday we visited for afternoon tea with our elderly mum who was in a wheelchair.
The staff were so attentive & the service was impeccable.
We had afternoon tea & we were looked after so we .The staff were caring & empathetic as my mum is quite poorly.
This is a beautiful hotel for any event , the staff are brilliant.
We noticed they were showing people round for a potential wedding venue & we would highly recommend it as you will be looked after very well in traditional setting.
A MASSIVE THANK YOU to your staff who served us in front of the fireplace on sunday. The lady who took care of us is an asset to your hotel.

Calling this “an amazing” location is an understatement. I spent 2 nights here and had the opportunity to explore the surroundings a bit. The whole atmosphere is stunning, the food great and the stuff are super friendly.

Wedding Ceremony and Reception with an overnight stay.

We held our wedding at The Birch Hotel, this is a perfect wedding venue for those who are on a budget, receiving good value for money, great customer service, organisation and comfort. Our wedding was wonderful and the day was smooth.

The great thing about this hotel, is it’s convenient and in my husbands and I opinion exceptional value for money based on what we received in our opinion.

Our main priority was having a local venue with easy parking, ease for guests staying, good food and money behind the bar for drinks! We got all of this and more.

We were lucky enough to have a wedding package which we could change to suit our needs and budget. We had 20 ceremony guests in the lovely Sussex Suite. A room which had chandeliers, open fireplace, natural light and views to the garden. We had 65 guests at the evening reception. We had a high tea with lovely cakes and scones, wine, coffee and tea after the ceremony and Later on, we had a hot fork buffet with three main course options and desserts.

We also opted for a DJ, dance floor, inclusive welcome drinks, inclusive table centre pieces, flowers and some money behind the bar for the guests. All of this was organised in advance and with ease using. The hotels preferred provider as part of the inclusive package.

We wanted to ensure our venue was simple for guests to stay at. And this venue had it all. Plenty of ample free parking at the hotel, easy access for those with disabilities, guest rooms offered at a discount and plenty of open outdoor space for people to enjoy the hot weather. We also had the projector and WiFi connected so those that could not attend could watch the ceremony live. At no extra cost. We also had welcome drinks and wine on tables as well as beautiful flowers.

Izzy the events manager made sure everything went smoothly. We simply chose what we wanted and the rest was taken care off The wedding package was exceptional value. The staff were great, the rooms were clean and tidy and served our guests needs.

We stayed in the bridal suite and enjoyed the stay. As well as staying as a guest in one of their rooms, if you are looking for a wedding venue and are looking for exceptional value then the Birch hotel is worth considering. It was perfect for our needs. The guests complemented us on the venue and especially the food it catered for vegan, vegetarian, diabetic and gluten free guests with ease (the butternut squash curry was a hit as were the desserts).

We added our own extra touches such wedding cake, photographer etc and this was all managed and handled by Izzy at the hotel.

We can’t thank the team enough for a wonderful day. We got excellent value for less than a quarter of the expense based on a lot of wedding costs nowadays!

This is a 3 star hotel offering a 5 star service as far as weddings are concerned.

Loved this hotel, very well kept, lovely wooden panelling, nice old building but modern. Every member of staff we came into contact with was friendly and polite. Good choice of things for breakfast. The only down side was that it rained for our stay but I don't think the hotel could do much about that🤣

Lovely independent (small Group) hotel. Superb customer service across all departments with friendly and informative staff. Excellent meals (bistro bar/evening and restaurant/breakfast.) Breakfast quality and choice superb: well worth including in room price. Room tidy, clean, light and airy (Contemporary annex/wing). Everything worked well, inc. TV, comfy bed (with protector), shower, extractor, kettle etc. Good supply of complementary room items.
Niggles? None bar slight crack in WC and booking photos of hotel don't show the new annex/wing, only the architecturally more interesting older buildings. Would stay again.

Comfortable and friendly hotel. The bed very comfortable..Nice bathroom.
Music a little loud at breakfast and fresh coffee would have been nice.
Overall though I would recommend this place..fairly quiet location and perfect for a couple of nights.
