This could be potentially a lovely place, but we did encounter a lot of little issues. All were resolved by staff, however it did make the trip a little stressful. Our room key didn't work, we were moved into a different room. The spa brochure on the website is out of date prices are now higher. Pool was very busy and couldn't only be accessed after you checked in and before you checked out otherwise additional charges were applied.
Food was amazing. So tasty and varied in its choice. Rooms themselves were super comfortable and spacious. High quality toiletries too, but soap wasn't filled up. All in all, we had a good stay but it wasn't perfect.

Staff were so attentive especially Sara who went out of her way to create cocktails for me and being amazingly chatty and bubbly.
All the staff just seemed so happy to be there and wanted to do all they could to make your stay amazing.
We opted for the overnight spa stay for 2 which included dinner and breakfast.
Food was amazing, the natural products used in the spa treatments have done wonders for my skin.
Set in beautiful grounds.
I just wish we could have stayed an extra night.
We are already working out dates to go back.

We loved the hotel. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room and bathroom were fantastic. We had everything we needed and more and it was very clean. The pool and steam rooms plus the gym were an extra bonus. Loved our stay and will definitely be back

My friend and I stayed here as a bit of a last minute decision. We are not accustomed to hotel life but we had a wonderful experience. First impressions were so grand as the hotel looks stunning on approach. Inside is just as beautiful with original old manor house features everywhere. Our room was a good walk from the reception but we didn't mind this at all as it meant we had a lovely view of fields from the window. It was also very quiet although the room was incredibly hot (we were in a heat wave!) so perhaps some air con would be a good investment.

We were disappointed to learn after booking that the spa facilitates were out of order for a refurb but really this didn't affect our experience as due to the heat we were unlikely to use the sauna/steam room anyway and the pool and gym were still very much functioning. The gym is beautiful in the cellar of the hotel with all the kit you need and lovely private areas for you to do your workout in peace. The pool was a little overcrowded so not big enough for serious lengths but certainly a nice way to relax and cool off. It was slightly heated so I imagine it being lovely and warm in the winter too.

The food was wonderful - we took advantage of the 3 course meal offer on our first night. Olivia was our waitress and she was so friendly from start to finish. She gave us excellent service and gave us the most wonderful local recommendations. We also had breakfast included which was your classic fry up, fruit and yoghurt, cereals and pastries. The staff were very attentive to teas and coffees and keeping the food topped up.

We also didn't have to pay for parking. This was an excellent bonus. I'm not sure why but we were told it was free as long as we entered our details, which we did. Outrageous to have to pay to park somewhere you are already paying to stay at so this was a good feature which I hope they keep.

All in all we were definitely stay here again - the room and bed were very comfortable and we loved the smell of the signature soap/shampoo/conditioner. Our only recommendation is to stock all three in the changing room showers please!

Had an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. The hotel is in nice surroundings and has a quality feel about it. Our room was terrific - a huge suite with lots of space, a very comfortable bed and a bathroom the size of some entire hotel bedrooms!
The restaurant is classy and the food is good. The restaurant was a little overwhelmed on the night of our visit - a lot of guests for a relatively small staff group to cope with. But they remained professional and attentive throughout.
Breakfast was generous and tasty and good value for money.
Overall, this is a very nice hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Fantastic evening meal. Room lovely. Robes provided. Breakfast was a let down and super busy. If the hotel is busy they would be better to book breakfast times. Staff awesome. Drinks expensive. £26 for two double gins. Grounds stunning, great location.

Stayed for 3 nights recently as the base for a coach trip. A lovely warm welcome and very speedy check in with everything ready for our arrival and keys handed out immediately. Our room 616 was very clean, quiet and spacious.
We both commented on the comfy beds and complete black out of the room during the night.
Exceptional food with waiter service at dinner. (Tea/Coffee served to the table at breakfast which was buffet service) We loved the idea of selecting our 3 course meal for the following night. A special mention of Joseph in the restaurant who was charming and so helpful.
Without question all staff were polite, professional and helpful. An asset to the company.
Our only disappointment was not seeing all the Christmas decorations go up before we left. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

I was really pleased with my stay. I was at the hotel for a two-day business conference with various dinners and I was very well catered for with needing gluten free food and the food was of a very high standard. The bar area and restaurant are also lovely and nicely decorated and the large conference/event room was great and fit for purpose. The hotel itself and rooms could definitely do with some updating in parts but I was lucky enough to be put in a room in the executive wing so can't really complain! Overall a good stay. Thank you.
