Great location, premier plus room was lovely, big and spotlessly clean. Comfy big bed, extra pillows, great shower. The staff are all really lovely, good food. Would definitely stay here again.

To begin, there was easy access to the Hotel from the Car Park . Glenn on reception was a pure delight; lots of laughter and general bon homie . Sarah was a kind and courteous waitress and we had a great chat with Ben,too. Food was good and the following morning, Katie on Reception was kind, friendly and most accommodating.

We are quite used to Premiere Inn and the visit as always was superb. The room was spacious (Premier plus) and worth the extra few cobblers. The TV as always allowed us to stream from our phone (Netflix) and allowed us to select our own programming. The recommended car park is just opposite, so you won't have to walk a lot. The staff stamp the card for a few quid, so you don't end up paying a fortune for parking either. Recommended

Great hotel, great location, lovely room. Check-in took ages because there was 1 member of staff working whilst the others were chatting in the bar area. Check out was made difficult because the housekeeping staff put towels across the lift doors to reserve them for themselves rather than the guests! Stood waiting for the lift for 10 mins wondering if they were broken then had to take the stairs only to find the lift door open and a towel across the door to stop it closing and the housekeeper nowhere in sight but her trolley next to the lift! Very inconsiderate and inconvenient for guests! Luckily we were able to use the stairs and luckily there was no emergency!

Spent a weekday night here, during a business interview trip.
Third floor room ( superior / plus standard ) was very well presented, clean, neat and tidy on arrival.
Well equipped with tea & coffee making essentials ( including a pod coffee maker 👍), steam iron, ironing board and hairdryer.
Large bathroom, with bath and shower, was well fitted and enjoyable to use, after travelling.
Our room faced eastwards , toward the parking area and Derngate theatre and was nicely quiet, without noise issues, either outside or inside the hotel.
The full English breakfasts we ordered were properly cooked, well presented and served in the Sage restaurant, so no issues there.

The only concerns were that we had to request the room's aircon be switched on by reception, as this can't be done in the room by a guest. Windows can't open and they don't have fans available on request, so do make sure this is done, for a comfortable stayover. Once done, everything was 100% for us .

Also, if you're concerned about noise made by other guests entering and leaving the floor, then also best that you request one of the higher room numbers furthest away from the lifts / stairway, for a good night's sleep.
We stayed over on a weeknight, so found the hotel generally quiet, without issues, but best keep that point in mind, if staying over on weekends / holidays.
The hotel is well positioned for easy walking access into central town, about 10 minutes walk from the Northgate bus station and is about 10 -15 minutes easy walk from Northampton train station ( if travelling by train ).
While there, we found the surrounding areas quiet, easy to find out way about in and safe, with a good variety of local eating places and pubs ( if you don't feel like having dinner at the hotel restaurant ).

Reception was efficient and personable. Rooms were nice, tidy and clean. Food was basic but cooked well. Wine was pretty good too. Location for the theatre was excellent!

For a major chain, it was a very personable welcome; everyone was keen to make our stay a good one, especially Sarah and Gail. Soft bed, easy to adjust the room temperature, TV quality was very good and surprisingly easy to operate, lots of things to chose from at breakfast, they even had crumpets!

The Premier Inn on Swan Street is absolutely brilliant, very welcoming with excellent staff. Sarah and Gail in particular were extremely good and really looked after us .
And on that basis we wlll certainly return! 10/10
