I was excited about traveling to London for the very first time. It was a birthday gift to myself to travel a few cities in Europe. So, this hotel was chosen by the tour company that I booked my trip through. For the money that I paid overall, I was very disappointed in this hotel. Not because of the rooms, but because of the location. This hotel is in the heart of the "hood". The view from the window is graffiti and trash. When venturing outside, there is an odor around that reeks. I'm not sure what the price is per night, but whatever it is, it should be significantly less. This Holiday Inn location could use a few updates such as clean carpets and air deodorizers in the hallways. A simple instruction manual on how to get the lights on would be helpful. The staff seems nice enough. Unfortunately, one dissuaded me from walking to a vegan restaurant close by because he thought it was "very far". Thank God for Google maps. Overall, the location of this establishment is the reason for the poor rating. I would not recommend this place to people who cares about their surroundings being a certain class

This was the worst stay ever. The hotel says it's 4 star. But does not even have bathrobe and slippers. The bedspread was stained and the bed was not of good quality.
Breakfast was good though.
The worst part is we have booked half board where dinner is inclusive.
They don't have co ordination among themselves. Every night we go for dinner the manager in the evening (lean medium height Indian(speaks Telugu) ( not being racist since I am from same area) say we would send bill to the room. Like money was their only concern. We had to tell him every time that dinner is inclusive in our bills. He was also rude to a sweet women who was in charge of bar and drinks for no reason who was looking after us in the best way possible.
Other part is when we checked in we got it confirmed from one of the person on charge that if the drinks are inclusive.he said non alcoholic drinks within the price range 20 euro per person is inclusive of the package (note: this info is not given anywhere while booking that one could eat dinner only under 20£. Food outside of this range is chargeable)
So this information is not shared to anyone .
So when we chequed out they were asking us to pay for the non alcoholic drinks that was said as inclusive when we checked in.
This was far most the worst stay in my entire life

Stay was okay and the room was comfortable, but they had a duplicate booking in my name and refused to take responsibility and refund me the difference.

This could be an issue with the booking partner, but I received zero compassion and all responsibility (including the cost) has been placed firmly on my shoulders with no support. The team even eluded (albeit indirectly) to me trying to pull the wool over their eyes as if I'd intentionally booked 2 rooms and somebody hadn't turned up.

This left a bit of a sour taste and as a regular business traveler, I won't be returning and will leave a similar review on our booking tool to discourage colleagues from doing the same.

This is a great new hotel. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and well presented. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The service was very good, and a cut above other IHG hotels in London. The only downside is the location. It's not a particularly touristy area and there are not lots of eating options nearby.

This hotel has been my usual destination when working in London, I have been coming here for over a year now and even when covid restrictions were in place.

It is a fantastic location with super kind and friendly staff, Vincent in particular will always look to upgrade my room if possible and go above and beyond to make sure my stay is perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will continue to stay here whenever i am in the city.

We had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn and a fun time in London. The staff made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. Just everything we need in the busy London town.

The location is convenient - close to public transport and with lots of hidden gems nearby. We love that we can come back to the hotel to rest before our evening plans.

Nice reasonably priced hotel with very large rooms (we choose the premium rooms). Very quiet, not much noise from street or other rooms. Neighbourhood is okay as long as your diet does not rely on beer and pork.
Bus stop right in front of the door, tube and DLR are roughly ten minutes away.
Very friendly staff, especially at the restaurant. Good breakfast.
Bathroom and closet in the guest rooms rather small.

I am repeat client of this particular hotel because every stay is a delight. The staff are wonderful and so helpful. The pillows are comfortable and the rooms are clean - as is the rest of the hotel. The location is perfect - it is steps away from Brick Lane, Spitafields Market, Shoreditch, and within walking distance of Columbia Road Flower Market. Access to public transport is a breeze as there are three stations nearby: Shadwell (DLR), Whitechapel (Elizabeth Line) and Aldgate East (Hammersmith &
City Line and District Line)
