This used to be one of the best pubs in the Elephant & Castle area and, judging by the photos on the hotel's website, it looks like they've kept the interior pretty much as it used to be - warm and cosy-looking. Sadly, the website also says that what it now calls the 'bar' is open only to hotel residents, thus depriving locals of a good place to drink. It was always a friendly and well-behaved crowd who used to drink here, and hopefully the hotel management will reverse this unfair policy.

The deco, appearance was dreadful. The staff are not very friendly. The breakfast was terrible. The room did not feel safe to keep the belongings and sleep overnight - the door was not secure, the windows could not shut. But it appeared clean and the sleep was good at night - regardless of someone smoking and the noise.

Awful. The pub downstairs is closed and boarded up so not very inviting straight away.
Inside, the hotel is old, dark and dated and all carpets are worn through.
No wifi in the bedroom, no electric sockets near the bed. The window was broken and couldn't close (an attempt at fixing it was made with sello tape!). A empty TV bracket on the wall, but a TV set up on the desk. In the bathroom, no water pressure and half the lights not working. Only positive: it was clean. Apart from that, nothing good to say about this place.

Me and my girlfriend paid £129 to stay here for one night! The room was a disgrace with most of the light bulbs out, mold in the shower and stains all over the carpet.. I could go on. This did include a breakfast but we decided to get out of the place as quick as possible. Dont waste your hard earned cash on this place.

Hotel room was clean, a very very long walk to our room. The pub was only selling whole bottles of alcohol at 9:30pm and there was no cider, we had to pay for bottled water. It’s ok if your staying for a couple of hours/1 night and not for many days. Very cheap.

The stay was ok, the rooms are beautiful but way to small for me! Imagine me (6'5 and big) in a room that small!! Lol the staff was very friendly ( minus the guy that does the night shift, he pretends the clients are literally invisible. I tried to speak with him, totally ignored me!) A lot of dodgy people there tho....i think this hotel has a predisposition to "ladys of the night" and "the snow flour salesman" ( trying to be as humanely possible, i apologise for the lack of knowing better words) overall it was decent.

Our reservation was cancelled out of nowhere. No explanation or any answer from the hotel as to why our reservation was cancelled weeks after we booked it. Do not recommend as the costumer service is apparently non-existent. They don’t answer any of your chats or emails and cancel without reason!

Absolutely disappointed by this hotel,
I made a reservation two month before my trip and my reservation as cancel barely one month before my departure even if i had confirmation of the room !
Being overbooked two month before a trip and realizing it barely one month before our venue is very strange and very unorganized from a hotel !
