Holiday Inn Express Warwick - Stratford-Upon-Avon, an IHG Hotel

Adequate facilities and service. Breakfast was excellent but the taxi we ordered to pick us up from a wedding reception on the direct line from the hotel did NOT arrive and we had to call another and this at 11.30pm. Apart from that no problems.

We stayed here when we visited Warick castle. It's 5minutes up the road.
The location is ideal. The room was a great price and included breakfast.
The hotel was full when we stayed and parking was very busy.

The people who work here are all very friendly and I think that's why it was a great experience. The people who work here are doing a great job to bring excellent service.
Check was great. We got to the hotel around 10pm. The room was perfect and quieter than other hotels rooms we have stayed in. The staff were friendly to chat to at the bar.
Breakfast was really nice. The host Liz was very friendly. The food was was great and fresh. The catering staff were very on top of replenishing breakfast items/food all the time.

Everyone worked well at this hotel and the staff make the hotel.

The first time we visited 3 years ago was great; nothing at all to complain about. Sadly, this time there would be very little to recommend.

Staff are pleasant and helpful, but the level of cleanliness in the room left a lot to be desired. Previous guest litter left on floor at the end of and under bed.


No soap in shower dispenser. Shower tray not draining. No handle on shower door. Bathroom generally tired.

Temperature in room overnight was increasingly warm (not an exceedingly hot day or night), with advice at 2:30am to use the Aircon, but this was limited to heat only (20 or 21 degrees Celsius) whilst a fan was located. Fan arrived as promised after a few minutes, but shocked at the blizzard of grey dust that covered me as I turned it on. Given the hotter weather in the previous weeks, it was surprising that measures weren't in place.

Breakfast selection and quality was not as good as our original visit. Very limited hot selection, and quality of continental was poor by comparison.

Location great for Warick and the castle, and free parking as a club member was welcomed, but hotel seems tired and lacking the positive feeling it had a few years ago sadly.

Would look at alternative options when visiting the area in future.

A very comfortable stay. The room decor was a little "tired" but it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable and everything in the bathroom worked as it should. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, super range of choices and good quality (bean to cup) coffee. For a "value for money" stay it was very good.

Staff were extremely helpful. Especially Macy who went the extra mile.
Disappointed it wasn't restaurant hotel but they did snack food .
Rooms a bit run down and could do with refurbishment but comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was included and very satisfactory. Catering staff did an excellent job.
Location good for Warwick.

Was so impressed with everything, staff were really lovely. I was impressed by 1 young lad, doing the breakfast shift. He was so nice. It was manic! That morning. Breakfast there was something for everyone. Bar prices weren't bad, for a hotel. Ground area was kept tidy. Nice location, if you want the Birmingham nec stadium.

The staff were extremely helpful and did their best to resolve all the issues that arose. The rooms was cold but on contacting reception we were immediately brought a
portable radiator. Breakfast this morning was chaotic however staff were working hard to try

The room was clean but sparse, in our room we could not use the hairdryer as it was not located next to lighting/mirror, the shower pressure was low, like taking a shower under a running tap.

The breakfast was adequate.

The only redeeming feature were the staff who were polite, attentive and helpful.
