Big character house 3 minutes from pickering Town centre ample off road parking. Valarie and her team couldn't do enough.breakfast was amazing plenty of choice. Definitely worth a visit .we don't have a dog but you can take your dog if you have one .

At least a 4 Star stay in a 2 star hotel. This hotel should definitely be rated much higher. Attention to detail is first class. Clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Good quality bedding, well stocked tray with quality tea, coffee, hot chocolate, chocolate biscuits, good quality shampoo, shower gel etc. Fan provided for warm nights. Even bathrobes provided. Room 2 had a fairly new shower and toilet suite, fairly small shower cubicle but acceptable. The housekeeping is excellent. Val and all of her staff are very friendly and helpful. Special mention for Kira 😊 Plenty of free, off road parking, but beware of seagulls mess on paintwork!.However, there are wipes in the hall for cleaning it off! The breakfasts are wonderful, all local produce, even smoked haddock and Whitby kippers. Evening meals can be provided with advanced booking, again all local produce and the meals are of super quality. I could not recommend this hotel more highly and will certainly return if the chance arises.

Fantastic place to stay. Staff are friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are great with everything you could want. Breakfast is outstanding. We'll definitely go back when next in Pickering

Brilliant hotel that should be way more than 2 stars. Faultless stay with great staff and a fantastic breakfast. Very handy for the centre of Pickering and the North Yorkshire Moors railway.

2 time here 5 star brekkie and room always comfy and bits and bobs best quality. Just maybe need shower head replacing tired looking and only really works on jet.

Fantastic stay. Cannot fault The Old Manse at all. Lovely, cosy, home from home. Val is a most friendly and welcoming host. Pickering is a quaint village/town, with great walks and awesome views near by. Coming back next year, it's THAT GOOD 😊

Wonderful stay with perfect and uber welcoming hosts, couldn't have asked for more. Pleasant room with comfortable bed and lots of creature comforts. Dog friendly and a stunning garden. Breakfast was out of this world. Exceptional!
