Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms simple but comfortable. Bar/restaurant is stunning, very reasonably priced and they offer discount for hotel residents. Cocktails are well priced, well presented and even has 2hr 'happy hour'.

There was a function on and we were put at the furthest point away from the noise and it was successful. We were not disturbed. Room facilities were good. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk, towels, pillows and loo rolls, Chairs and a suitcase stand. Didn't want for anything. Lovely shower gel too. Girl on reception was lovely. Would stay again.

A mixture of good and bad. Staff on front desk were helpful and friendly. Stairs up to room are exceptionally steep and quite narrow; problematic with lots of luggage. Bed was very comfy and the sheets were good quality, the pillows were awful though. Shower had good water pressure although didn't drain well. The room was very clean but somewhat dated and a few repairs really needed doing. Parking in the private car park non existent during the evening (but good in the day) due to pub- goers. On the whole roughly what I expected for the price (about £300 for the week). A pleasant week.

Cost effective, very clean, great service. The bar is decent, with a few good beers on. The rooms are simple but well cared for.

Been and eaten here many times food always top notch and staff very friendly. BUT on Saturday when we visited with friends food was top notch as usual. The only thing I can't get my head around is the fact that I ordered a bottle of rekorderlig nothing strange about that. The strange thing was when the waitress brought the drinks to the table my drink was already in the glass so I asked the waitress if it was draught and she replied no bottled. So two things here.
1 If you have a bottled drink you normally get the bottle and the glass.
2 A bottle of Rekorderlig will not all go into a pint glass at once especially with the ice in it and yes it was only a pint glass. Very strange that after I had made the comment about is it draught the next two that I had came with bottle and glass and no it would not all go in the glass at once. So I either didn't all my drink or it was pulled of a pump!!!!

Room was small but clean, nice bathroom. Main issue was there were functions on both nights of our stay, one of which we were advised about, but it wasn't made clear the restaurant wouldn't be available at all due to this. We booked the second night separately and the WiFi stopped working after the first night. By the time we realised it felt too late to do anything about it. Also the room wasn't serviced so milk etc wasn't replenished. Agreed we could have raised these issues at the time but were in our pj's by then after a long day out so just didn't have the energy.

Went for our Xmas party, great value they'd made the place look lovely. I would be giving it 5 stars if they could make the dance floor just a bit bigger

The room was ok ( although tiny) for the price paid but more importantly it was very clean. The location is convenient with dedicated parking and easy access to takeaways. My main issue was the room temperature. It was so hot and uncomfortable throughout the night despite having the window fully open, turning off the heating and a freezing weather outside! I could not understand what was keeping the room so warm!! A good option for last minute budget stay.
