It is what it is. Do not expect any extra luxury but for £67.00 in high season it was actually bargain. We didn’t go for the breakfast option because it wasn’t cooked breakfast. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom was spacious too , but the bath itself was a bit “hard core” ….. see photos. The star ⭐️ of our stay was receptionist JUDY. She was an angel , friendly, nice , helpful, just awesome 👏 ❤️.
One more thing I should mention: if you like running like I do , running across the bridge is a MUST …… easy 9 km both ways and it’s easy to find your way from the Travelodge. 🏃‍♂️
We stayed in room 104.

I must say, I was very pleasantly surprised by the motel. It wasn't expensive, so I didn't expect much. The room was clean and had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Only thing wrong was the bit of mould in the bathroom, but it's a consequence of internal bathrooms.
Staff couldn't have been nicer. Despite being a services, it's well off any main road and very quiet. I'll definitely come back

When I'm at work, I have to visit some towns in the West Country so I try and arrange to stop at the Boars Head in Aust for a proper evening meal, followed by a walk over the Severn Bridge. This Travelodge is convenient for that, and being close to the M4, and M5, good for the next day. The foom is clean, warm and dry, the towels are good, and the bed is comfortable, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The building itself has been here for a few years now, and could do with a bit of tidying up. Travelodge were charging just over £100 a night the previous week, and I certainlyl wouldn't pay that. I paid £48.

Whilst I was in bed sleeping at about 14:04hrs on the 18.11.2022, the hotel manager (Judi) opened my bedroom door with her key and walked into my room. I was woken up by the sound of her bunch of keys and I immediately jumped out of bed in shock and was about to walk to the door but she was already inside my room. I asked her what she wanted and why she was in my bedroom uninvited, because I did not call out for help, there was no noise or any form of anti social behaviour that could have draw her attention to my bedroom but she said she was carrying out a “welfare checks”.

I further asked her what she met by welfare checks and that what if I was naked when she walked in because I have been staying in various Travelodge in Bristol since August 2022 and I have never be embarrassed and harassed in my bedroom in the name of a welfare checks. She explained that it is part of Travelodge policy to carry out daily welfare checks on their customers. I told her I disagree with her explanation but she said if I have a problem with it, I should contact Travelodge for them to explain to me.

I did contact Travelodge customer service but I was told by Gordon that he has never heard of staff carrying out a welfare checks on their customer, he also confirmed with his colleagues.
I later went to Judi at the reception and told her of my findings but she ignored me.

Nice motorway accommodation very near and user friendly . We only best work on our bathroom descaling and cobweb in some places. Very friendly staff.

Great stop over with dogs on way to the vet in Bristol. Spotlessly clean rooms, helpful staff and lovely and peaceful. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle! Perfect for people with pets. 👍🏻
