This is the second time we have stayed here and both times have been amazing. Log fires, drizzly days and cups of tea are the perfect setting for any holiday in my mind and this ticks all of the boxes. You are surrounded by amazing countryside and there are sheep around you at all times. Even when you're trying to get to sleep, the baa'ing has kept me awake on a couple of occasions but it is a pleasant distraction. I have yet to find any good walks directly from the cottage as one end of the lane takes you to some private cottages and a gate and the other takes you into Greenlaw. Be aware! You will need to think ahead for what you will need for meals as the nearest big shop is in Kelso, 30 minutes away. However it is good to know that Tesco and Sainsbury's do home delivery to the cottage and Amazon Prime will also reach you (we needed a new travel cot mattress!) The second time we visited we had young children with us (both under 18 months) and this place was perfect for them to run around and explore. Even when it rains they have lots of space inside to run around and entertain themselves. All in all a five star review for a five star place!!

Fabulous country house. The interior design is great, and the kitchen is huge with everything you need for self catering purposes. Log fires in two rooms, making them cosy and comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms and good size bedrooms. Great for family getaways.
