Had a lovely afternoon tea to celebrate our 60th year with primary, comprehensive,village and new friends. Beautiful food. Serving was excellent. Very attentive. Lovely atmosphere and location. A wonderful afternoon had by all

Went for evening meal, beautiful hotel looked really smart. Service was excellent and food even better. Will definitely go again
Only thing i would say is the chap in the bar was run off his feet he needed help serving the bar and clearing plates also getting the bill was too much. We had to go to the bar in the end to pay the bill as he just couldn’t keep up with demand (not his issue but the management need to get help in there)

Lovely hotel in the centre of Abergavenny, good beers, and good Christmas functions. Popular for weddings. Parking for hotel guests only, although there is a large pay car park at the rear. Would like to see more of the locals back after recent events. Hotel also owns the Angel bakery which has some outstanding breads (opposite main entrance of Hotel)

Simply Brilliant. I have just spent a couple of nights at the Angel Hotel along with 7 Colleagues and have also used their Meeting Facilities. This is one the most friendly and welcoming Hotels I have ever stayed in. The facilities and rooms are superb and the food is exceptional. We were due to dine at the Walnut Tree (Arranged by the Hotel) but the road was closed and the diversion would have taken too long. The staff could not have done any more to help us and quickly got us a large table in the Restaurant instead. Thank You to all the Staff at the Angel Hotel, you are all absolutely awesome and a credit to the Hotel.

Quite disappointing, went as a nice treat for my partner and I and for what we spent just wasn't worth the money I'm afraid. My vegan burger didn't taste of anything and dry it ended up just falling apart on my plate. Friend ordered soup and just was not eatable at all we had to send it back had the plate taken away and no offered anything to replace it or apologized and see if there was anything they could do.Just took the plate and nothing, no apology or nothing.

Lovely dinner in the Angel last night. We were seated in the Foxhunter bar as we had our dog with us. Staff were welcoming and service and food was outstanding. I had one of the best veggie Penang curries I have ever eaten. Lovely decor and ambience. We will be coming back. Thank you.

From the moment we walked through the door we felt very welcome. We were a little early and our table wasn't ready so we went to the bar area and enjoyed a prosecco to start our afternoon off with a bang.

After a very short time our table was ready and we were escorted and seated, then the menu for the high tea was explained. The high quality, well thought out vegan option was just perfect. We were so impressed with the presentation and service by all staff, nothing was too much trouble.

The room was full of other diners but it was not overcrowded and it was not too loud.

A wonderful touch was the presentation for our wedding anniversary which added to our time there.

First class service with attention to detail.

Beautiful setting, excellent service. Great selection of teas, pretty bone China tea sets. Delicious desserts & warm tarts but sandwiches could have been better as we found them a bit plain in taste. Parking behind premises very handy & location perfect for walking around & exploring town.
