Made a “Relaxed” session booking which is geared towards specifically to children with SEN needs and supposed disabilities.
The session was nothing of the sort.
As my little one is unable to walk but lives the sensation of bouncing I had to jump with her to get her bouncing the way she likes.
I had management tell me that I couldn’t do this because only one person is allowed to jump in the square set at anyone time. As I explained to them for a child who does not have the ability to jump of her own volition like peers of her age how is she supposed to do it?
I asked the manager Kelsey if these SEN sessions were only for children with Autism, ADHD or or other behavioural needs and not those with more complex needs, such as mobility issues, because if so the site should outright express this. Kelsey couldn’t answer the question.
All the staff there are children who are first jobbers and really do not have a clue how to run the place, because no one could answer simple questions.
Moreover, for a place that has a wheelchair ramp to get to the trampolines and soft play area… how on earth are there only toilet facilities upstairs?
I was unable to go to the toilet because I couldn’t leave my little one downstairs on her own and it was way too much to carry her up the stairs and then leave her to sit on the toilet floor without a her wheelchair whilst I relieved myself.
Certainly, cannot reasonably recommend this place to anybody with a child with the same conditions as mine.
Oh and the sun dried tomato, mozzarella & pesto panini was ice cold in the middle. Not properly cooked at all. Glad it wasn’t a meat filling as I’d probably would have gotten food poisoning.
The service on offer was poor.
If I could not have given a star at all I’d feel much better about writing this review.
Kids loved playing there, the adults had a harder time
-Enthusiasm of the staff matches that of a goldfish trying to swim through syrup.
-Whilst here I've watched the teenage staff sit together and chat with no one on the service counter.
-The activities are decent value for money and the kids have a great time, however, the value, quality and speed of service for food and drink leaves much to be desired.
-Inconsistent approach from staff: I was asked to wear a high visibility jacket whilst supervising in the jump area. I watched 4 other parents do the same without being approached. I would question if the staff have any training in safeguarding.
-Generally messy although not busy. Would be nice to have tables cleared away when they are no longer being used.
-Lack of accessibility for persons of reduced mobility.
Would I return? Yes. Just don't have any expectations for food and service.
And a great place to rent out for your party
