I told receptionist I’m in severe pain and I’m not able to walk but she still sent me to do the online form.
That’s what I did and after one hour from sending it over I called the surgery again. I never received any confirmation email, any prove my form has been sent or received.
I managed to talk to another receptionist but she said they’ll get back to me in 2/3 working days.
I explained it again I’m in unbearable pain plus not able to walk and infection is going up to my leg. She carelessly replied it will be reviewed in 2/3 working days!
Rude, incompetent, careless people working at the reception.
I filled the form out, a week later they tell me my phone call is cancelled. Another week goes by, cancelled again. They've rescheduled me 3 times now. By the time you get a physical appointment you'd either have to go hospital or A&E.
You also cannot discuss more than 1 symptom per appointment... so you have to book multiple appointments if you have multiple issues. Their system is completely and utterly nonsensical.
Trying to get an appointment is next to impossible and if you dare to object to this, or voice your concerns over prescriptions not filled correctly, you are considered to be abusive and are threatened with deregistration.
An enquiry into this practice's operations day to day and the way patients are treated by the very rude receptionists, needs to be conducted.
Been registered all my life, it's been bad for the last 30 years. For the last 20 it's a joke
No out of hours service
Minimum number of appointments can be booked for a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. Usually, if you actually get an answer, you will be asked to phone back as they will be fully booked or not taking appointments
Update 19/12/22
My daughter had a suspected UTI last week so I phoned the doctors to try and get an appointment and was told the only take appointments for the first 2 hours a day.
I filled in the online form but I haven't had anything back, Which follows on from a months ago when I filled in a form and haven't heard anything back regarding strep
What makes me laugh is when you stand in reception there is a form saying that if you have a suspected UTI then to call the doctor immediately and they will book you in for a same day appointment.
I have complete sympathy for the NHS which has been severely underfunded and understaffed since the 40s but this practise is a complete joke and has been since the mid-90s and really need closing down and replacing the different surgery.
