I called to make an emergency appointment, I was told to do an online form
I told receptionist I’m in severe pain and I’m not able to walk but she still sent me to do the online form.
That’s what I did and after one hour from sending it over I called the surgery again. I never received any confirmation email, any prove my form has been sent or received.
I managed to talk to another receptionist but she said they’ll get back to me in 2/3 working days.
I explained it again I’m in unbearable pain plus not able to walk and infection is going up to my leg. She carelessly replied it will be reviewed in 2/3 working days!
Rude, incompetent, careless people working at the reception.

Terrible practice. If you move to the area avoid this place at all cost. You fill out a form to book a phone appointment, which you then book a physical appointment from...?
I filled the form out, a week later they tell me my phone call is cancelled. Another week goes by, cancelled again. They've rescheduled me 3 times now. By the time you get a physical appointment you'd either have to go hospital or A&E.
You also cannot discuss more than 1 symptom per appointment... so you have to book multiple appointments if you have multiple issues. Their system is completely and utterly nonsensical.

I have been registered with this practice for 39yrs. When Dr. Couch retired it started to go downhill.
Trying to get an appointment is next to impossible and if you dare to object to this, or voice your concerns over prescriptions not filled correctly, you are considered to be abusive and are threatened with deregistration.
An enquiry into this practice's operations day to day and the way patients are treated by the very rude receptionists, needs to be conducted.

I am rarely sick and hadn’t been to the doctors in years. I needed an appointment, was told to fill an online form which I filled in at 0800 on a Monday morning to book an appointment which I wanted that day as I was feeling so rough. Phoned the surgery to be told they were looking after 17,000 patients and were still working through Fridays online forms. I was told if I needed to speak to a health care person it wouldn’t be until Wednesday on the phone. I did not feel well enough to sit down, Accident and Emergency for 6 hours for an antibiotic, so had to pay £108 for a private doctor! Diagnosed with bronchitis, strep throat, ear and sinus infection and got my antibiotics . If you need to speak to a doctor be prepared to wait, if you want to actually have a face to face with a doctor….. forget it!

Not a particularly good service. Called to see about appointments, was told it must be done online, but if I was unable to, I could call them back and they would look in to it for me. What was the point? They could have looked there and then. A call back to discuss the issue was one week, so no idea how long for a face to face, I retorted I may as well change surgery, to which she replied "Will change then" and hung up. Not good customer service at all.

Sadly, this place is a shambles. Beware the answerphone message that tells you to fill in a form online but FAILS to inform you that outside office hours - Mon-Fri - the link on which to fill out the form is (guess what?) invisible!! No wonder the reception staff are moody - everyone who gets through to them has waited at least 20 minutes on the phone, are then rebuked for not realising that there was an invisible link, and after all that - getting a face to face appointment is almost impossible to get. This place should be investigated - their service is not fit for purpose and goodness knows how many people suffer or die because of it.

Terrible all round. Doctors are great if you ever manage to see one. Virtually impossible to schedule an appointment. They keep referring you to a poor excuse for a website to book an appointment which impossible to do. Phoning is also a dead end. Altogether just endless frustration...

Trying to get an appointment is impossible
Been registered all my life, it's been bad for the last 30 years. For the last 20 it's a joke

No out of hours service
Minimum number of appointments can be booked for a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. Usually, if you actually get an answer, you will be asked to phone back as they will be fully booked or not taking appointments

Update 19/12/22
My daughter had a suspected UTI last week so I phoned the doctors to try and get an appointment and was told the only take appointments for the first 2 hours a day.

I filled in the online form but I haven't had anything back, Which follows on from a months ago when I filled in a form and haven't heard anything back regarding strep

What makes me laugh is when you stand in reception there is a form saying that if you have a suspected UTI then to call the doctor immediately and they will book you in for a same day appointment.

I have complete sympathy for the NHS which has been severely underfunded and understaffed since the 40s but this practise is a complete joke and has been since the mid-90s and really need closing down and replacing the different surgery.
