Tamar Medical Centre

Excellent NHS GP practice. Really caring staff who work really hard to help out their patients. They manage the appointment system well and you can normally get an appointment for the same week if you can be flexible with times. When the children were small they always got us in the same day if the children were ill. I have been with this practice for 17 years and would highly recommend them.

I would give a zero, useless place, 92 times trying to get them to answer the phone, 42 the next day, If they answered the phone my dad would not have had the abuse from lodge farm care home, died by abuse, starvation and dehydration. No point saying phone in to report problems when they can't even answer the phone.

Excellent doctors and nurses on site with great reception and behind the counter staff.
Phone is busy a lot. But email or patient access will get you in touch without the stress of waiting on the phone for it to be free

Excellent , I cannot fault this surgery. Reception prompt on my requested, nurse/doctor was fast and very efficient, diagnosed and prescription given , straight to pharmacy. All done within 20 minutes

Overall its okay to get though to book appointment however often appointments are rushed like most Nhs doctors.
Extremely annoyed with my most recent experience hence the one star.
I was referred to a specialist by the doctor.
During this time of worry and stress waiting for a letter from the hospital it turns out that over 2 weeks later my referral letter from the doctors still had not been sent to the hospital as the receptionist staff had failed to process it.
The staff at reception can't tell me for what ever reason if my referral has been sent though as urgent or not. Defiantly gone past the stage of being urgent due to terrible processing times by Tamar Medical Centre. Extremely annoyed

I am Completely fed up with this practice, I have been using this practice since a young child (now 23) and I no longer feel that they have the time for me. I have called 79 times to try and get an appointment. When I finally do get one booked it feels very rushed, impersonal and the doctor isn't thorough enough. My advice to Tamar would be to get more phones or acquire a holding system. It's horrible to feel like there's no help for me. Complete incompetence on their behalf. Join a practice where the appointments aren't 5 minutes or under and where they have more than one phone.

They're just brilliant. They've done more for me in one visit than my other doctors did in nearly 3 years.

Excellent team. It's wonderful to have a doctor who actually listens to you.
