The nurses are absolutely lovely! They are friendly and helpful and very efficient. The doctors, anaesthetists and surgeons were also fantastic and everything went very smoothly.
It didn’t take long to be seen by the Triage nurse’s, this wasn’t such a wonderful experience, there was not one ounce of human in these two. The body language and general rudeness. Although there inability to be human did make them quicker…..
I was then seen by an ambulance paramedic who was very nice and was able to suggest what she thought it was and also got a second opinion from the doctor! An x ray to be on the safe side, the Radiographer was great and very imformative and Luckily for me it wasn’t a broken bone.
However on diagnosis I did feel a little let down I was given a leaflet with a few exercises and told to go, try walk on it, I left the hospital a little in the dark on what to do with myself and didn’t even understand if I’d damaged my tendons etc, I had to walk out of the hospital in the worse pain I’ve experienced for a number of years. The department was busy on this day, so obviously my understanding that they may not have time to fully talk you through anything.
I’ve now seen another professional and have been told I’ve got two partially torn tendons. Hence the reason I couldn’t walk on it. I’ve now on in place a treatment plan.
