Great local pharmacy

Little village pharmacy with great staff and just about everything that you might need in a pharmacy. Consultation room if you need to speak with the pharmacist. Everyone very helpful. If your prescription is a bit esoteric you might find it takes a day to come in.

Nice front desk staff but pharmacists take their time and you can be waiting for up to 40 mins even if you call in advance and give them an hours notice that you're coming. Shameful and poor for confidentiality protocols.

Have used this pharmacy for about 30 years. Plus points: local service, next to surgery so convenient. Useful diagnostic pharmacist to assist in determining whether Dr's visit is necessary.
Could do better:
Prescriptions often not ready at the time I was told to collect. If an item isn't in stock, I am given a time later in the week to collect, only to find the item IS back in stock and on the shelf but the prescription hasn't been filled. Often this means another visit as it has to be checked by 2 people, one of whom isn't there. Not living in Wellesbourne, this is annoying and should be simple to fix...but it never is! Staff are very nice but procedures could be more organised.

This pharmacy likes you to order your prescriptions a week in advance so as to give them enough time to order in what's required. So with this in mind my son's prescription was ordered on Thursday 7th April at 12:12. I phoned the pharmacy on Wednesday 13th April at 11:49 to check if it was all there and ready to collect and was told that it was but as is normal policy the controlled drug could only be made up on the day of collection. I went in on Saturday 16th April at 9:00 to collect his prescription to be told that the controlled drug would have to be ordered in and to "come back next week to collect it." When I explained that the prescription was ordered 9 days ago and that I had phoned 3 days ago to check that it had all been ordered in and was ready to collect I was met with a shrug of the shoulders and "I'm sorry but we've got to order it in." Now all this would be bad enough if it was a one-off but it wasn't. This is the 3rd month running when the same thing has happened. The incompetence of whoever is supposed to order in the medication on time and doesn't and the lies of being told it's ordered in and ready to collect when it isn't has left me in the position of either letting my son go several days without his medication or seeking an alternative source (online black market). As this keeps happening I'm not going to simply leave a bad review on here and consider that the end of the matter as I have my son's health to think about so I intend to also lodge a formal complaint to the ombudsman stating everything in this review.

The worst experience I have had in a chemist for the two times I have been in there. The staff there when I went in looked like they didn’t get on. The lady serving me had little interest both times and the second time they had to search for the prescription and I was told to sit down and was there for 20 minutes before I was handed the drugs and was told to sign the forms and The pharmacist just walked off. I will find somewhere else.
