Post box - Royal Mail (Ashley Green Road)

The Royal Mail brick post pillar box on the Ashley Green Road A416 outside one of the group of houses all called Rushmoor. Apart from the small group of houses mentioned and a farm opposite, there is little habitation on this straight stretch of the road to justify this box. There must be some historical reason its here, so its more of use to the passing motorists. There are no legal parking restrictions here but its a fast stretch of road. The owner of the house whose driveway entrance the box is sited or the council, have placed white painted round bollards on the grass verge to prevent cars mounting the verge beside it. Well the bollards do help the motorist spot the post box's position, which is not at all easy to see in the shade of a tree, so to indicate one's intentions to slow down and pull over to following motorists.
