Eden Street Post Office

Costcutter shop with a post office. Most days the post office is quite busy. However, the longer hours are convenient. Has post boxes and an atm outside.

I never go to this post office if I can avoid it. Last week I was 37 minutes in the queue as only 1.5 people were working (I say 1.5 as 1 was off faffing with other things half the time). The women staff are polite, one of the men is ok but the older man who seems to be the manager is incredibly rude, both to customers and his staff. I've never been there and waited less than 15 minutes, last Wednesday there was a queue out of the post office and through to the front of the shop, at least 35 people strong. 6 serving points and I've never seen more than 3 people on, most of the time it's 2 or fewer.

I have experienced very poor customer service.
I am not surprised there are so many bad reviews on Google.
The white short man who was probably the manager was very rude.
His Poor customer service will often reduce the number of customers interacting with that Post office and the shop which is not even his.
I was reading so many bad reviews and I am surprised the staff have not received any people skills training so far. Is there is someone higher than rude white man with glasses?I am going to avoid this post office as they don't know how to treat a customer.
It doesn't matter where you work you should learn to treat everyone around you with the respect.

There don’t appear to be any decent post offices in Kingston that I’ve had experience of. I find a lot of post offices similar. The majority of staff appear to be arrogant and rude. There is one staff member who is ok. They have a lack of caring attitude and poor customer service. The whole company should have a huge change in the way it trains its post office staff.
I hate using this one. Almost always huge queues, often with at least two staff doing prolonged document checks. Those tasks would be best if by appointment or just having one person doing the checks. One day I asked if they were going to ever have the self service facilities. The guy said they weren’t and acted like he cared less.

Good place with a friendly environment!!! People are really helpful to carry our service by guiding us with all the necessary details. May be a bit busy area which may make us to que-up during peak hours, but still worth for the ambience.

I've been visiting this post office for while and I can really see the positive change in their customer service. I usually get served by Sarah, who is always very welcoming, friendly and helpful, but other staff members are also great. It tends to get very busy during peak hours and there might be long queues, but usually it gets cleared quick enough.
I just think people should also be more understanding and patient as this post office serves hundreds of people on a daily basis (usually by 2-3 staff members) so getting angry and taking frustration out on the staff doesn't help anyone.

I went to get some parcel posted and asked for a standard delivery, the staff informed me about 3 different options and I chose the standard since it seemed to be the cheapest, when I got the receipt I realised the staff charged me for a first class when I just wanted a standard second class. When I asked the staff for explanations, he raised his voice and tried to argue with me asking why I had accepted his option, he never informed me of a cheaper one ,if I knew that’s was a cheaper one I wouldn’t accepted it. I felt being mislead and being treated rudely from this unhelpful male member of staff who served me. I would suggest the post office would check on their staff member attitude. Zero customer service, misleading and rude. I will take it further.

Counter staff unhelpful and did not know own products. I had to highlight options available.
Sadly they were not even pleasant about it.
Such a shame as I love supporting local businesses. Such experiences make courier companies an attractive alternative.
