For over 3 years, I havent been able to see a doctor. I was prescribed HRT over the phone 12 months ago and haven't had any interaction since.

My mum has lupus, she is supposed to be seen every six months, she has had 1 appointment in 3 years.

My son had to pay private for a tetanus, he was wrong informed by the surgery they didn't offer any vaccinations.

I am just bewildered by all of it!!!

I’m leaving this review because of the level of service that has been provided to my 89 year old father. We are eternally grateful for the attention to detail and level of care we and ultimately our father has received. We’ve easily been able to set up authorisation to deal on his behalf and everyone at the surgery continues to work hard - front office to back - to provide the high level of care Dad demands. Whether it’s same day appointments, prompt bloods or consultations - we’ve been able to access it all. I would like to make a particular mention of how helpful and professional Dr Searancke has been - excellent communication and tenacious determination to get to the bottom of every problem! In these difficult times, thank you all for what you do.

Unfortunately this surgery appears to be over zealous in protecting its staff originally they had a barrier 2metres away from the reception desk with wearing masks hardly anyone could here properly what was being said, the barrier is now 1 metre away, not much difference
There were a lot of books for charities previously they have gone, face masks are still the order of the day, that's understandable but it was being ignored and staff do not ask these people to use one. The measure were very extreme for patients during the main pandemic, if anything laughable when I visited different hospitals still selling books and no barriers in front of reception desks .
Lighten up Whitwick Road Surgery!!!!!

Takes about 10,000 calls to get through to anyone and when I do 90% of the time they don't have appointments, the staff can be alright sometimes tho one or two really need to learn customer service skills as they give the nice staff a really bad reputation, although 90% of times it's people who call and block the line over stuff that can be treated at home or by visiting a pharmacy and most of them are over zealous parents who call when they kids have the sniffles and they stop people expecially the elderly from getting appointments so I guess really this one star rating is shared between the staff that have no customer service skills and the idiots who don't need appotments and to the nice staff that care keep up the good work

I had a meds review for a repeat prescription renewal booked with the practise Pharmacist today any time after 10 am. I've had a repeat for over 25 years.

My mobile rang at 11:10. It rang three times and the call ended before I had time to answer.
I called reception who told me I was still on the list for a call so I waited at home with my phone by my side.

At 14:39 I received a text saying that I was not available or did not answer the call at 11:10 and to notify the practice if I was unable to attend or take a call. It also said that the non-attendance will be noted.

Despite being told I was still on the list for a call, and waited for it, it didn't happen. However, the text implies that it's my fault!!

I called reception Immediately (14:45) to ask why I hadn't been called since the earlier missed call and was told that the Pharmacist had tried calling but had now gone home. Clearly not true as I'd had no other missed call on my phone.

I can't get a meds review now for another two weeks - when theoretically, the same could happen again.

Despite being registered with SystemOnline, I now have to go to the surgery to fill in a request form to allow me to request a one-off prescription ONLINE , or fill in a request form and hand it in to reception.
For various reasons, some patients may not have acces to or the ability to use the internet, so I can appreciate the need for a paper system but as the technology is already in place, undoubtedly at great expense to the NHS, why not use it? This is bonkers!

The reception staff are very polite, patient and willing to help.
It appears though that the GP's are offloading more and more work to support staff, to the point that it now takes weeks just to get a phone appointment with a Pharmacist.
I also had a blood test last week and my GP has advised that I book a PHONE appointment with a practise nurse to discuss my results. That's in three weeks time!

Not only is it getting increasingly less likely you'll get to see your GP, the waiting time to get a mere phone appointment with support staff to discuss personal confidential issues is getting ridiculous.

Never had any problems in the 20 plus years since I moved to the area. During COVID lockdown I found the staff helpful and you could get a face to face if it was urgent. Also Dr Searancke is someone that listens to your problems and makes you feel at ease. In my opinion a very good GP practice.

Husband went down with something really nasty. They came off their lunches to see him, checked his heart, lungs, ears, everything.
They really were wonderful.
