Visited twice in last few months and both visits have been a pleasure, found the staff very helpful and friendly. Nicely priced boxing gloves, and air max trainers. Very busy store, and very well stocked, but also plenty of staff, who assist and help. JDsports take note! (See review). Would recommend highly and not just for the less expensive items. 👍

5stars for Matthew for his patience and support. The most helpful and employer from all the SD shops I have been. Usually the employees are more interested in chatting between each other or sorting products rather than helping the customers.

Average, even though the store was not very busy it took a while to be served.
Polite young man who found me the correct size of trainers for my son.

Went to return some trainers that were too small for my Grandson. Shop staff really helpful and sorted the problems quickly, efficiently and with kindness. Not alway the case with some shops so really well done and thanks for excellent service.

Quality of eBay aftermarket just double the price. Not even close to original.
Nike stickers come off in first day. And after first wash it’s looks like its been used for two years. Big disappointment

Sports direct in Taunton has a good range of well priced sports clothing, shoes and equipment but can get a little cramped at times if it is a busy day.
The only gripe I have (and it's an important one) is that I do feel that more training should be given to staff!
I have shopped in this store many times over the years and I always have the same complaint in mind, the staff are fairly young and me being a slightly older guy, I don't feel I get the same level of service as a younger person would! The service is OK and on the lower end of satisfactory BUT not very talkative and almost get the feeling they would rather be serving someone else, it's a cold shoulder kind of vibe.
On the whole a good shop with good prices

Sports direct is about the only large store left in Taunton. I find it handy as you can try on before buying, instead of online shop. I like casual clothes at affordable prices. Bought some good sketcher trainers recently at sale price. My son's use the store a lot too, staff always helpful.

Good shop not always staff to help when looking for shoes to try on.
Also big issue if you buy clothing or shoes and they dont fit for instance a pair of school shoes they dont give you a refund even tho I had recete and the box tags and tissue ect no excuse for this.

Have no returns policy only when faulty this I was not aware of as the sign is on the counter at knee level so not able to see this I was told that most shops do this by the manager no they do not been in the retail sector working for over 25 years and as long as you have you proof of purchase and the item is brought bk in perfect condition and before the 28days an exchange or refund is what they offer so please be aware of sports directs policy please.
