I am never shopping in this shop ever again. By the fridges it clearly says for a breakfast meal deal it is £2.49 I brought 2 deals for my journey for my brother and I. My food total came up to £10 I tried to get someone's help but no one would and as I had to catch the train I couldn't risk missing it and ended up paying!
Now let's go onto the food. It is horrible. I got a croissant with jam, bearing in mind I'm going on a train, im not going to be carrying a kitchen knife with me. There was no option to get a plastic knife and they give you jam in something you'd get ketchup in when you go to a fast food place. Who the hell does that! Jam should be respected!
So back to the knife situation, what am I going to do spread it with? My finger?? So then I can be sticky for the rest of my journey, or even worse look like I've smeared blood over myself, I don't think so. Then the croissant. Let's just say if you're on a diet and want to lose weight then buy this. As it's nearly impossible to get into!! It took me ten minutes to open it, who ever supplied there superglue, I want their number as whatever the use to stick it together is more powerful then anything Ive ever experienced before.

It is terrible! And to top this off I had to pay £1.69 for a bottle of buxton water. Buxton, I'd expect it for Evan or even smart water as they have a nice bottle but not bloody Buxton.

Absolutely rip off. I feel like I've been mugged in broad daylight.

Never again, WH SMITHS. You may have got me this time but never again.

Wide range of books, novels, magazines and stationary.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They order books for you to the store or to your home, if they don’t have stock.
Would recommend to everyone. There is a section for all age groups. Child friendly.

WHSmith isn't exactly known for its value products, but this shop specifically has some of the most inflated prices I have ever seen. This shop only exists to profit from people who are in the station and have no other option; they know this and take full advantage. A small array of meal "deals" that are often displayed in a way that implies they are part of some multi-purchase when they are in fact not. It is useful for small convenients such as gum or coffee but only if you are happy to be extorted. The customer service was very good and honestly I felt sorry for the staff there who often get berated by people for the prices of everything. When I purchased a coffee from the shop I was made the wrong drink, but it was replaced for me so I cannot find fault with that. If you value not being ripped off I highly suggest using the Sainsbury's on Avon Street around the corner (500m approx), it will be cheaper and have a wider array of products; unless you need stationary on your train journey.

This used to be quite a handy little shop.

Unfortunately since the random M&S takeover the prices have shot through the roof, a sandwich drink crisps and a chocolate bar £8!

Advertise meal deal everywhere (even that’s £4.99) and a good 60% of items aren’t in the deal.

It’s cheaper to use the McColls outside the station.

Rudest staff ever. Didn't even look at us or stop his conversation with his colleague/friend during the entire transaction. Even had to prompt him to process the payment so that I could tap my card. Very poor. Not cool.

Only about 20% of their sandwiches on display are actually included in the meal deal, yet the signage and labelling is designed to make you think otherwise. It’s the same with snacks which, conveniently, are nowhere near the fridges. An already overpriced meal deal will cost actually cost you £8+

I am a regular user of Temple Meads and WHSmiths. I would like to say a big thank you to a Ben who works in Smiths as he always has a smile on his face and totally professional in his work capacity. Good work Ben.

Their cooler was broken so I spent £1.99 on an oasis zero which has a cost price less than 30p. Absolute rip off
