Very convenient local👍 shop to get your day to day groceries and drinks. Very nice and courteous owners. Convenient short term parking.

Went today and the guy serving me (short, passive aggressive man) was extremely rude, possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I was returning a parcel and I was waiting by the till. He pretended not to see me and kept doing whatever he was doing behind the back of the till. He then came over, took one look at my return and began having a go at me, stomping over towards the return machine and talking to me patronisingly telling me it says I should stick the label down and acting like I can't read. I've returned and sent off hundreds of parcels and this is the first time I've been lectured at like this. Hermes were going to pack it and all they needed was my return label yet the guy wanted me to stick it on the garment when it clearly states that is not what should be done! Even if I had been in the wrong, (which I wasn't) there are better ways to speak to your customers.

He then proceeded to get hostile and try and humiliate me in front of another customer acting like I was dense, so of course I'm going to get irritated by this. I simply told him to 'just do the return' as he began making a scene for no reason. For some reason, this triggered him to then aggressively throw my return back at me, swearing at me and telling me to 'get out of his shop'

Completely disgusting way to deal with anyone, let alone a woman. He was trying to intimidate me and because I didn't allow him to humiliate me either, he began to humiliate himself by showing himself up! Being verbally and physically aggressive and intimidating is not how you deal with someone in a workplace, let alone a customer. I've worked in retail and never would imagine treating someone like this. It seemed like he was finding any excuse not to take in my parcel and told me 'he wasn't going to do it' and I should 'get out'

Disgusting service and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Never coming here again. Much better newsagents in the area who are much more friendly. I can't imagine how he speaks to other woman in his close proximity if this is how he spoke to a woman he just met. I've been here before and was served by others who were ok, but I'll never ever come here again. Learn how to treat customers and then maybe you'll get more of them. This guy is a complete let down to this family run business and needs to learn basic manners and respect. If he is that reactive then he shouldn't be in a public facing role and should be behind the scenes so he's not abusing customers! He later denied he did any of this when a relative of mine who was disgusted by the service confronted him after. Can't even hold his actions accountable. Terrible service. Not even deserving of 1 star.

I was returning some amazon stuff here. The guy behind the counter was super nice and helpful, left really good impression.

Honestly the best little shop. The guys there are fantastic; smiling, helpful and good for a chinwag. I once said that I liked a specific flavour of crisps and by next time I went in they had ordered some. It was so lovely and considerate of them.

Sometimes people come in and are demanding or rude about the parcel dropoff (honestly I don't know why people think they should get special service for parcels Vs shopping) and they always deal with it politely even in the face of enormous Karening.

Total superstars.

Such lovely polite friendly staff. The shop has everything you need from, milk to sending parcels. A great local store. Good opening hours too. Early till late.
