My partner arrived in A&E with sever abdominal pain, the nurse staff were all trainees, one of the trainees cause a Blown Vein, she went in one end and the needle came out the other end. Another trainee, stuck a syringe in his vein to administered some drug but she pushed the liquid in too fast causing more sever pain then when he informed us he felt he was going to vomit, she couldn't be bother to hurry with a container or stand by him while he puked.. When he was finally admitted, he was transferred to the East Ham Ward.. the kitchen did serve broth so I brought in chicken brother from home..

there was a nurse on the night shift that was shouting while patience were meant to be resting.. the next night, that same nurse spent the night kissing her teeth every time a patience requested assistance. the nurses wait for the patience to push the call button to let them know the dextrose is done, if a patience doesn't call they let hours pass till next nurse come on shift.. I brought in vitamin juices for him to drink, but the nurse said no, his liquids must be clear.. yet they gave him conserved orange juice..??

Hygienically, Hospital itself is filthy!

I'm in shock of everything partner relayed to me as my daughter was born in that exact hospital years ago in 2015 and the only thing that irritated me was she was immediately dressed after being born and I had to clean up my own spilled blood as I made my way to the bathroom to clean myself off after my little was born..

I wouldn't recommend Newham University Hospital to anyone.

My daughter started to have a fever at 8pm, we called 111 who attended us at home and they kept watching for another two hours. After a continuous vomiting that started at 12pm, we decided to bring her to the hospital. we received the first service at 2am and now it is 7:30 am and the doctor still hasn't even looked at the child. The slow service was not because the Hospital was full because there was only one child in front of us and so far no children have been attended. We thought that the doctor was probably sleeping and after she woke up she still didn't provide any care. Mothers who are more than 24 hours without sleep with their children in their arms do not provide any support and only give us some attention through a lot of insistence every two hours of waiting. I see it inhumane so that people are afraid of cases, even if they
need to, they don't want to go to the emergency room of this hospital. I hope that by noon we will be able to get out of here with some diagnosis or medicine for our 4-year-old who also has to undergo this kind of long-term treatment and very little attention.

I came with my sick mum today to be seen at West Wing Centre, while waiting inside the security gentlemen from the picture, kicked everyone who was not a patient quoting "because I said so" outside from the waiting room in the street, when the waiting time is 5 hours and temperature outside is below 7 degrees.
Well done for picking your staff properly!!!

The night I gave birth my midwife wasn't on duty, so another midwife named Happiness took care of me.. At the time I had Covid and she refused to hold my hand despite wearing gloves, a mask and a plastic that covered her entire face. She also told me that I was hurting my baby because I was screaming and I couldn't handle breathing to be able to push.. Maybe it was true, but that's not how you talk to a woman when she's giving birth. Where is the delicacy? We are women and we should support each other. Her name was Happiness, but she had nothing of happiness. Luckily a doctor came and encouraged me and I would like to thank him. During that day after I gave birth, the nurses on duty showed up very little and I was not allowed to leave my room having Covid, that afternoon my daughter slept 8 hours without eating and I was worried because she was my first daughter and I didn't know that newborns sleep a lot after they are born. I waited 8 hours for a nurse to come and help me. Also, during my pregnancy I went to the emergency for an problem and I waited 6 hours to be seen from a doctor after make pressure otherwise I would have certainly waited longer.. how can you not give priority to a pregnant woman? I wonder if they read all these bad reviews and take action.

I wouldn’t recommend to any pregnant woman.

Avoid this place like the plague!
My husband and I went to visit my sister who gave birth over the weekend to my little nephew. I understand the hospital have a policy of two visitors at a time, but why do they count the baby's father as a visitor? Also, they're quick to enforce their rules on two visitors at a time, but when my sister needed help putting socks on or needed help with her baby they were being slow, unhelpful and had a very bad attitude. They also forgot to put the electronic tag on my nephew so when my sister was alone with him (because her husband had to step out) she couldn't leave her son for a second. When I went to the reception to ask for a nurse's help, I heard them talking bad about another patient which was super unprofessional. The atmosphere is very hostile in this ward when it should be a very happy occasion for patients and visitors.

I was very unwell when I visited but I am very glad I visited this particular hospital. Have to mention Micheal Eyoma, I believe he was a nurse. His care was amazing. He was efficient, knowledgeable and explained very well what was being administered to me. He was gentle and also still had a kind demeanour even though it was very busy and he seemed to be doing a lot! He still managed to give me his full attention when he had the chance. Best experience I’ve ever had with my care.

I had a very pleasant experience in this hospital as a visitor from Europe. I went on 1st January, and I was surprised for such a good, caring and quick service. There was no long waiting, I was done within and hour . I came with painful ankle, they did x-ray very fast and results came quickly. Also, there wasn't any charge for emergencies

After visiting the 'Newham University Hospital Emergency Department', we were told to go visit here for further information, which we didn't have to stay for too long for the outcome.

Walking distant around the corner from the Emergency Department if you were wondering.

Buses 276/376 come through here while the closest stations were either Plaistow Underground Station/Prince Regent Dockland Light Railway (DLR).

Good.
