My daughter had an operation here 2 weeks ago and found it a brilliant hospital. She suffers from anxiety and ADHD and they couldn’t do enough for her from the time she went in to the time she left. Ward 209 were absolutely amazing and the nurses were so caring and compassionate. Never been treated like this before in a hospital and shes had a few operations now. Keep up the good work!!!

I was admitted as a day patient for emergency MRI scan on my back and arm. From the reception team, to the consultants who looked after me with severe back / spinal issues... Thank you to all of you .. The care and support was so lovely. The nurse assistants are fantastic as are the nurses.
I had 3 different porters taking me to and from the Shine Unit to MRI SCAN department and they too were all lovely chaps...
A great sense of care from everyone I met... once again thank you.

My adult daughter was admitted to pod3 critical care with head injuries. She has learning difficulties and autism Wow! The staff here are amazing! So supportive of my daughter’s additional needs. So compassionate and clear in all their communications with us. Lots of staff dealt with her and every one of them gave this level of care. Even on the difficult days. I could go on more but definitely made the worst days of our lives easier to deal with.

Every time me or my wife is in this hospital we have to wait for at least 6 hours to see a doctor. When my wife was pregnant and they called and said that she might have eclampsia and her life and our child's life might be in danger so she must have induction of labour, we still had to wait for 6-7h and then we were sent home anyway because they had patients with bigger priority then my wife even if she had a letter for scheduled induction for that day. She had high blood pressure, her legs were swollen and she had sever headaches but that still wasn't enough for priority for induction of labour. No one offered her any food or drink when she was waiting. We just wasted a lot of time in there and it cost us both a lot of stress because nurses did not know anything and told us to wait for the doctor that did not appear earlier than after 5h wait just to hear that we can go home and wait for another call from the hospital the next day so it can start all over again. I understand that they might be busy but I do not see the point of coming to the hospital and wait for 6-7h only to be sent home and start everything all over again the next day.
Worst experience we had in our lives.

Ward 104! Absolutely diabolical…. My wife 8 months pregnant didn’t get fees from 8am to 3pm but other patients around her was getting given sandwich’s and wasn’t even asked if she was hungry or wanted a water. Spoken to the matron on there who kept rolling her eyes when I was speaking to her and referred to my as ‘you people’ only thing I could say she was referring to was my race. Put a pals complaint in, didn’t hear back… I have a meeting with the sentinel who are very interested in my experience. And want to do an article on what happened. The world needs to know how our tax money is being spent hiring these type of people! The member of staff looking after her was nurse Harris, when I spoke to him his argument was we are busy! I’m sorry but this ain’t good enough… don’t blame your level of care down to resources

My appointment today at Royal Stoke University Hospital could not have been any better, every department I attended for tests the staff were friendly helpful and reassuring including the consultant who explained fully what was happening and what might happen in the future.
I met lovely staff who could not do enough to make my visit a pleasant experience.

On boxing day was taken by my son to hospital, I could not breath. A&E was so full yet so calm, drinks and sandwiches were been given out constantly. The help I was given first class. I spent ten days on ward 117,what can I say from cleaners to consultants it was first class care. My thanks and appreciation goes out to you all. Olwyn x

Been in this hospital numerous times over the past few months with a family member, various different departments. The service we've had has been quick, friendly and thorough. The NHS staff do such a great job. True heroes!
