Marshalswick Veterinary Surgery

Took Henry my old rescue African Pygmy Hedgehog who wasn’t eating, nor drinking, losing weight and being sick to this vets. Decided to give this new practice a try following a most helpful talk with one of the practise Veterinary Nurses. James, the vet who we saw, was so professional but so caring. He ran tests and gave me the results while we were there. After thoroughly examining my little spiky friend James explained options for treatment and we decided upon antibiotics and meds to try to settle the tummy problem. He even took time to show me how to administer the meds at home. This may be a new practice but I cannot recommend them highly enough for their care, professionalism and knowledge. Henry seems to be on the mend now. Thank you all.

Lovely people work here who clearly care greatly for the animals they tend to. Always happy to bring the pup here, and he loves the attention he gets too. Our vet is incredibly knowledgeable and communicates clearly with us!

I’ve been taking my two kittens here since I got them in January and all the visits have been excellent. All the staff are very friendly, professional, caring and thorough in explaining the diagnosis and treatment to me.

The vets here are lovely and really looked after my wimpy doberman X lurcher. She cut her paw and had to have stitches. They even fit us in the very same afternoon when my dog's bandage fell off. I couldn't fault the service and it's a bonus that there's plenty of parking nearby.

The best vets ever!!! Rushed our puppy in today as she had eaten something bad and they treated our dog despite being super busy! Sophie is an amazing vet and an absolute asset to the team. Overnight my cat became unwell and I rang first thing in the morning and they booked me in that same morning. They are all very friendly and helpful and the vet gave my cat Jones a very thorough check up and she is now all recovered thanks to their great service.

Always ready to give advice per email. Lovely staff. The dog was always happy to go (we have now moved and had to change vets, marshalswick still my secret favourite).

Possibly the worst vets I have ever used. I didn’t want to write a review but now is the time. My very healthy 1 year old cat went here to be spayed last year. They then called me at 12pm to say she had passed away. They didn’t give me an explanation as to what actually happened and was told several different things and some things still don’t quite add up to what had happened to her with no full explanation! Then even though it wasn’t my fault I then had to pay for her cremation through the vets. Still to this day I always wondered what actually happened to her. Without no real expiation as to what happened I’m struggling to get over it. Never again will I use this vets. Family members have also stopped using this vet due to this.
