Early last week this branch had quite a bit of issues as there was about 8 police officers in the branch. i waited about 5 mins and that’s so good as they were having so many issues inside. I had to use the deposit machine and they took me in as soon as they could. they had many staff coming out and letting us know what was happening! amazing service. Honestly the best branch around!

Must one bad apple spoil it for others????

I read some of the fake positive reviews here.

It was interesting. I was in your Angel branch on high street and there was a lady with African descent that helped me. She was very very very helpful. It all went well till another lady with a black blazer came in and spoke with a rather abrupt tone. Just to define her she had black hair with a blotch of blonde dye on top and a mouth that did not belong to that face. I noticed that the girls behind the counter who were serving people were very very helpful. There was an Indian/Pakistani girl, there was a Caucasian lady and the lady with African descent.
Unfortunately, the blonde blotch dyed lady was out of place in that environment. Must people who have issues or problems at home or promoted out of turn because they know someone or who are still working in COVID from home mode spoil it for others? I feel very bad for the lady on the left side as you enter and the two who sit behind the glass straight ahead. Yours is a good bank and I feel don't let some random problems at home woman spoil it for everyone. Be careful who you give that black blazer to. She seemed very racist, ill mannered and uneducated. This is customer service and how you come across matters.

I came to this office today to set up account and get access immediately. It was not easiest request to complete but the manager of the branch and other members of staff were very helpful and did all steps for me through complications. I am very grateful as I can use internet banking right away.

Great staff.

Absolutely HORRID treatment. My elderly father went into the bank before 3pm today to send me money, the cashier was SO RUDE and could see clearly my Dad is over 70, yet could not help him with his transaction to me, his daughter, who is over 30 and recently changed my name. Why are you stopping my father from transferring money? The lady has no customer service manners, wrong job for you dear. You have caused the Angel Islington branch to have 1* because of it.

I have no complaints about the office staff, I can praise Malgorzata, but unfortunately she does not work all days of the week. I have a big complaint about how the search for international transfers is organized. I was sent money (return from an online store) from Italy two months ago and they still have not arrived to me! I've been to this brunch 4 times already! And I have a statement that I showed with confirmation from the sender, where there is both the track number of the transfer and all the international details of the sender's bank, the date and amount, all the details, but every time they come up with what I should bring again for the search. The last time they asked Swift not just a bank, but a certain parameter with the number MT103, which neither I nor my sender can do, these are some internal numbers that are not issued to customers. And it's a dead end! I already brought the Swift of the sender's bank myself. I have not been able to receive my money for 2 months now and no one helps me figure it out and find it, although all the details are known!

I think there’s quite a lot of underserved negative reviews below. My experience at the Angel Lloyds branch was overwhelmingly positive; I was met with a warming greeting, staff were on hand to assist me and I left with a smile and pleasant goodbye from one of the staff members. Perhaps this branch has implemented new reactionary measures to up its game given the low reviews it has received, which only goes to show their commitment to improving customer service and satisfaction. Keep it up all!

Aren’t Banks meant to consider themselves part of the community? Lloyds in upper st clearly doean’t! I went in to the branch, queued for 5 mins and then asked the cashier for £10 in 50pence coins and was told if I wasn’t a customer they couldn’t or wouldn’t? Yet when I handed in a lost Lloyds customers card last year they were happy to talk to someone that wasn’t a customer? Will I bother again - who knows! I then went along the road to HSBC and a helpful cashier obliged. Such a small request but yet so hard for some!
