Brixton Cycles

These guys are great! They've helped me out with various queries with my bike and I'm very new to cycling, so it's great to have someone trustworthy and knowledgeable to speak to about bike parts and maintenance. And I recently went in there for a cargo net for my bike basket - and the guy who helped me gave me HIS OFF HIS BIKE because they didn't have one in stock. Which was awesome because I was off on a bike trip that weekend. So these are great people, and will give you the best help with your bikes.

I am ever so grateful to the Team at Brixton Cycles especially Ben! After I crushed my bike in an accident; I thought I was going to have to scrap it, thanks to Brixton Cycles, it rides as good as new! Some say the spare part used as a replacement of the original fork which was broken has given the bike a better look and performance. Ya'll worked miracles on the bike and I cant thank you enough. In the words of William Shakespeare "I can no other answer make but thanks, and thanks; and ever thanks".

Deserve their long held reputation for being ethical, affordable, friendly and delivering the best bike service possible. If only there were more businesses like this.

Really friendly team, always happy to help. I came with a problem due to a poor service elsewhere and they were able to identify the issue and sort it straight away. Will 100% be returning with any future bike issues!

Brixton Cycles were amazing in sorting out a mudguard issue I had!

After another shop's fitting of my mudguards had led to the stays coming off into my wheel a week later (😬), here they diagnosed what had happened, bent it back into shape & tightened it all up in 5-10 minutes. They sorted me out free of charge, even checking my wheel for damage & noting my brakes were quite worn (again, not picked up in a service by the other shop two weeks ago).

I would definitely avoid this place when there are tons of reputable bike shops in South London which I would recommend. I booked my bike in for a service and they did £280 of work without a phone call to talk through my options, any good bike shop would usually do this. A few days later a part snapped on the bike, they claimed it had nothing to do with the service and despite me specifically asking for a phone call this time they again proceeded to do the work without a phone call, charging me another £55. When I queried this a member of staff got quite rude and said my options were either that he could knock £16 off or they could remove the part and leave me with a broken bike. Bearing in mind I'd handed them over £300 in the past week I found this lack of compassion totally unnecessary.
Like I said there's plenty of bike shops in South London where they'll talk you through the work, will happily fix issues after a service and won't be rude to you. Try them instead.

Received repeated 'weird', and deliberately bad service from new member, Ben. It's so bad I don't like to go in there any more. I emailed to complain and received no reply. I requested to be served by others but he refused. It's so weird.
I've been using BC since 1995 and now I'm too put off by just one employee that I dread returning.
I have since heard via tewo other cycle shops that theyve had customers complain about the same problem. Glad it was nothing to do with me. It's like when you get an odd waiter and you feel you need to grovel to them just so they won't spit in your food.

Great knowledge and customer service. I will use Brixton Cycles as my go-to bike shop from now on!
