I found Lou to offer a very good value for money service. I got components replaced for my bike and Lou did a very good job at a very good price. I wanted to spend only a certain amount of money, so Lou advised me on what is the best value option for my budget.

My 30 year old bike recently needed a new rear u-brake. Having been told by 2 different local bike repairers that I would personally have to source the part on e-bay before they would repair it, Pound Lane Cycles happily ordered in 4 sets of brakes so they could be sure to have one that fitted, and then successfully repaired it in less than an hour at a very reasonable price.

Fantastic service. Owner is a gent and knows everything about bicycles. Super helpful guy that will spend time educating you about your bike. For a beginner like me it's so helpful to have this advice.

I received the best experience with the owner of the shop Lou, at Pound lane cycles today, he is the most friendly, helpful person I've met in a long time. Truly a very good person and overcame my expectations on fixings my bike! I can’t speak highly enough of the service. My bike is fixed and riding beautifully. Called up Lou to ask about some fairly involved repairs to my bike of 15 years. He managed to see me same day and took me through everything he could do. He turned around the repairs in less than a day, and was very helpful in general. Would recommend anyone to visit. Bike runs like a dream and will help when cycling to the pub! Much better service than any of the big stores, will be going straight to him for any future cycle needs. A++++++++
