Absolutely beautiful and amazing place. If you have a blue badge, ensure you tell them at the pay point as they will guide you to the parking at the top of the castle but please note if you are in a wheelchair or not able to climb stairs then you will only see the higher points of the castle.
If you park on the lower car park you have to walk up a steep climb to the steps then up into the first part of the castle then up more steps to the highest point of the castle.
It has beautiful views especially on a clear sunny day.
Pay on entrance and buy a brochure or do everything on line, we did and it’s really easy.
Our pictures show where the disability parking is and the lower parking. They only had portable loos when we visited.
Dogs are allowed on leads.

This place is fantastic 👏 👌 I have drove past so many times and wanted to visit and finally I had the opportunity to go. Its a lovely walk. Majority of it is pushchair friendly but there are around 50 steps that you would need help with. Its a beautiful place the staff are very friendly. I have recommended this place to everyone on my social media ❤️❤️❤️

Let me start off by saying it's a beautiful place. And a nice little walk. However, it was extremely disappointing (especially given the price of £10 p.p.)

The castle—scratch that, country house (NOT a historical castle as it's built in the early 1800's) is nothing more than a ruin, which is fine, but there's no real historical information anywhere. You can only scan some QR codes along the way for very limited information and that's only IF you have any signal in the area to begin with. If you end up like us however, then more often than not you wander around asking questions about what's what and never getting any answers.

There's more information about some TV show that happened there, which feels ridiculous and—if not a fan of the show—utterly uninteresting. Even the castle shop is dedicated to it. It just makes it all feel similar to Al Bundy talking about his high school fame, a fleeting moment of fame that everyone has forgotten.

No one checks if you paid to enter the castle either and they literally ask you to take a photo of the map at the parking, because they don't have any maps (seriously?) making that £10 feel even more expensive.

I genuinely don't understand how this scores so well. Either the locals hype it up to get tourists, or people who visited this have never been to mainland European castles—where you can spend hours walking through fully restored and preserved castle museums for the same or often even less money.

A wonderful, memorable morning spent at Gwrych Castle. After driving through the entrance, passing the campsite and golf course, I was met with the most impressive view of the castle. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, from carpark attendant and admissions, to guides and restoration workers. All were full of infectious enthusiasm and clearly loved their work. It's fantastic that ITV have funded the underpinning of the castle and restoration can really begin. For I'm a celebrity fans, some of the elements of the set still remain and provide great photo opportunities. For those that have never watched the show, the history of the castle is fascinating with incredible views both of, and from, the castle. The gardens are beautiful I took as many photos of the gardens and views as the castle itself. Admission is not expensive and worth every penny. Well worth a visit!

We visited here on a Thursday and booked online for an 11-11:30 arrival. It costs £38.00 for 2 Adults, 2 Children and a concession. You can book a family pass for £30, this covers 2 adults and up to 3 children. There is also local residents discounts, carers and members offers too. When you turn up, you can park near the office, show your booking and off you go. When we turned up, there was nobody there checking tickets etc, you could have walked straight through, however as we left, there was someone there I assume doing this to stop free entry. My wife is the historian, for me, I visited because the TV show I’m a celebrity get me out of here was filmed here over 2 seasons. It added an extra dimension so that you could step in places where some of the celebs stood (not all places were accessible). The surroundings are beautiful and the views stretch for miles (we had a nice clear, sunny day). There is a shop at the end for all your souvenirs (the booking office is also a small shop too). There was at the time of our visit, an ice cream van, drinks stall and a food stall too…again this was right at the end with seating and views. Definitely worth a visit, for me, a few hours, not the whole day.

This castle is massive! I love the self explored nature of the tour and that you can get the information on mobile devices. Dog and child friendly (dogs on leads at all times) and loads of preservation work going on so some areas cordoned off at the moment. They are heavily invested in being the setting for I'm a Celebrity, so there is a lot of information and merchandise available for that, I would have preferred more about the history but it was a good 40 mins to an hour exploring the grounds and eating an ice cream on the terrace. Worth a visit if you have the time!

Wow! What a castle this is, we came to view this castle while on holiday and it absolutely made our day! this castle is famously known for being used to host the tv show I'm a celebrity and it's absolutely amazing, the grounds a very well maintained and has a lot of history, there is toilets and a lovely ice cream van as well as a refreshments stand that did the most amazing brownies we have ever tasted! We would definitely recommend this to anyone who is on holiday or in the local area (we did this with a 7&3 year old) 😁

Famous for I'm a Celebrity get me out of here for two series, this is a large castle and only a few bits remain of the items used in the show. The main star though is the castle that is sadly now in mostly ruins but some parts are starting to have some repairs and hopefully some parts can see more restoration if visitors keep coming.
Not very accessible for people with poor mobility as some areas are steps or slopes.
Certainly well worth a visit if you are in north Wales.
