Recently bought a PlayStation 4 console for a teenage young boy. peppered with hard-core porn. Also My friend just bought a Xbox s for £185.00 but couldn't set up an account on it. when she took it back THREE days later with the receipt for a cash refund she was offered £100 back. They refused to give her back her money. Her son was so really upset on his birthday it was an all round upsetting experience. Won't go CEX again. They are are in business to rip people off.

Visit once ever few weeks, normally lovely staff. First time returning an item on 29/09 and it was a really horrible experience. Is that seriously your store manager with the complete lack of any customer service skills? Standing in the doorway with his back to the waiting customers comes across as ignorant and really stand-offish. Hanley store has a much better, welcoming approach. Won't be back while he's there watching over customers like a hawk.

The only reason I give 4 stars is because I believe the prices could be better, but there tons of different options for gaming, videos, peripherals etc.

Staff were extremely helpful, large selection of items, easy to find what you are looking for.

Guys were a good laugh, gave me a lot more money than i imagined for my device too. Great experience, money went in quick, was offered even more if i wanted something from the shop, but didn't need anything else. Decent music in the shop too

I was just served by a lovely lad, unsure of his name unfortunately but he was very helpful!

Ment to have 3 on stock couldn't find any. Lad on till thought it was hilarious I had drove there for nothing customer service is non existent In cex. This was after I'd already ordered click and collect from another store and had my order cancelled even though its still showing in stock at that store!

Since CeX has been in Newcastle for several years now, and yours truly being a customer since day one, I can say that it's one of the best second-hand electronics, and multimedia shops in town.

There's a wide selection of games and films to choose from, the staff are helpful, and their prices are good.
