First time in B&Q Northampton today, the shopping atmosphere was relaxed, and the staffs are very patient and helpful, especially Ambor, the lady who served me. I will recommend my friend to come. Good job, Ambor, and the team!

I came here to get a sink unit, sink and plumbing parts. The girl at the counter for worktops was very helpful with finding the cheapest unit, doors and other wooden pieces I needed. She even told me about the reduced items section and helped me look for items there. The store has plenty of choice and lots of varieties of items like sockets and light switches that I was looking for.

I had a very good shopping experience today. I was trying to find bubble wrap, but it was stock control & although it was on the top of a gantry your assistant Russell was extremely helpful & arranged to have it taken down & I bought 2 rolls. Thank you very much for all your help.

If you're buying 8' x 4' sheets. The cutting services are excellent. Able to get them in my car

Chloe in the paint section was extremely helpful today. Went in a few weeks ago for a tester of a custom colour, girl that served us seemed as though she was new. Went back today to buy a tin of the custom paint, the girl hadn’t saved the custom colour so Chole couldn’t match it, but tried her best on several occasions

I go here a lot and find the staff and selection great.

The Valspar paint range and colour mixing is very good. I paint something on a weekly basis. Go at the end of a weekday for no waits.

However, most items are a little pricey when compared to the likes of other DIY / trade centers. Another issue I have had on two occassions now, is my card / Google pay not working at the till. After this, it seems to make my card company decline purchases afterwards for a while. On one occasion I got a load of wood cut, I managed to pay for half and said I would go back home and get another means of paying. I said I will load half the wood (that I had paid for) into my car for a more comfortable drive and get the rest when I am back in 10 mins. HOWEVER - their policy was that I couldn't take any of the items in my trolley since I hadnt paid for the cut wood. They had £100 of my money so I felt a little controlled.

Good plant selection, less pricey than Wyevale or whatever its called now (Dobbies?) but still, a tad overpriced. Knock £5 - £10 off the larger plants and sell twice as many I say.

Has a great selection of everything. Prices quite high, you can find everything cheaper elsewhere. Not always has stock in. I've been looking for plaster, so instead of board plaster I had to buy multi purpose plaster. It's fine, but for such a big shop you expect better.

RUDE AND LAZY CASHIER! I was served by an old rude man, who seemed to think that only he can be right. I was trying to claim 5 pounds of my purchase, as I had spent over 30 pounds. But I had forgotten my card at home, so I asked the cashier if It was okay if I stood to the side to continue to allow him to serve, while I created a new account to activate the 5 pounds of, when I asked this, I was met back with the cashier seeming annoyed, however he put my things to the side anyway. While I was creating my new account, he still seemed not to get what was going on, and why I just couldnt scan my bnq rewards card, when I had already told him several times that I had forgotten it. While I tried to laugh a little about it at first, I was met back with nothing but pure rudeness! why hire someone so ignorant and oblivious to whats happening? after all of that, the worker didnt want to scan my new bnq card, after he reluctantly did though, I didn't even get money off. I left feeling ignored and insulted by the cashier. I also found a large knife, just carelessly left on a random product by a worker, which is extremely dangerous as anyone could pick it up.
