Boots Opticians

I bought glasses from Boots Opticians over a period of 25 years, however I would not go back there again. For one thing the range of frames is rather limited. Secondly, they have no qualms about selling you glasses which you don't actually need. They are too much into just selling you a product rather than considering your needs. On one occasion they lost my frames. The cleaning products they sell may actually damage your lenses. You are better off going to a smaller optician who can offer a more personal service.

Repeatedly bad service. Staff are undertrained and under-informed resulting in the loss of my contact lenses for several months and failure to liaise properly with the contact lens scheme and update records. Unprofessional staff who I witnessed arguing pointlessly with customers over products. Long wait times on multiple occasions, even when booking appointments in advance.

Met some lovely helpful ladies when i went in last Sunday to order some prescription sunglasses. They had more customers than they could handle and were always cheerful and nice to deal with. I asked them to give me a call when the glasses were ready. And true to there word they called me today. A week earlier than expected to say they were ready. Great staff, very professional and thank you. I just have to find the time to go and collect them from these friendly, helpful young ladies!

Bad experience with these people would never recommend anyone to use them!
I explained some issues i was having with one my eyes they couldn't find anything rather the lady said to me did you just want to change your glasses?? How rude. While specsaver did all sorts of testing and managed to identify the problem! I would highly recommend specsavers than boots opticians

I've never used Boots opticians, but decided to use them after such poor service from the other well known Vision E. & Spec S.
Amazing customer service. The optician that examined me was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The lady, Helen, that then saw to the glasses etc was great. Knew exactly what she was doing and she did it very very well. I couldn't be happier with the service I got today. Will never go anywhere else.

Visited Boots Cornmarket Opticians and received a first class service today. Optician Helen kindly went out of her way to explain all the options clearly and patiently. All staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for considerate and knowledgeable service when buying my new glasses. Thank you.

Terrible customer service. I arrived for my appointment and was ignored by staff for a good couple of minutes. Once they asked my name and I sat down I could hear the staff discussing me. The optician I saw was very brisk and just very quickly said 'you don't need glasses' with no further explanation I was then asked to follow her for my field of vision test but she then got talking about holidays to another member of staff and got her phone out and told me to sit and wait! At the end she just says 'see you in 2 years' and that was it. No information about how to pay or anything about my eyes. Definitely going somewhere else in future!

They helped me out with some contact lens samples while travelling. Very helpful and friendly.
