My family joined this practice in 2007 and we have had brilliant care from its doctors and nurses. They've taken time to catch up with us during bereavement, spent significant time familiarising themselves with the fine detail of the daily management of an unusual health condition instead of leaving it to the hospital specialists, and whenever we've asked for an urgent appointment for our toddler son, we've seen someone that day - often only an hour or two after we've asked. Sometimes their appointment schedules run late, but we've also had experience of being the patient whose problem can't be solved in a short appointment, and I'd rather wait a little but know that my appointment won't feel rushed or cursory. We've been very grateful for the care we've received from Thameside.

Dangerously Under Trained Receptionists / RUBBISH Organisation.

I am actually not a patient at this practice but my partner is.
My partner suffers with severe depression and anxiety and for the past 4 days has been trying to get a telephone appointment. 4 promises, 4 time slots given by the useless reception team and each day went by without a phone call or apology for the missed appointment.

My partner has been really struggling to cope and so after our 4th call today was missed we decided to call up again. The visit was again confirmed and at roughly 17:20 we received a call from the WRONG DOCTOR who disgusting claimed that the best thing my partner can do to help herself is join a choir!!!

During this USELESS phone call, my partner received a call to the same line by the doctor who deals with her mental health issues (Dr Chloe) who left a voice mail stating that my partner was to call straight back which we did. (within 5 minutes)

We unfortunately were put through to Vicky Allen who self proclaimed herself as the "best and most helpful receptionist at Thameside" (Laughable) who said that as my partner had already spoken with some other doctor who believes the cure to mental health can be found by joining a choir. - Upon expressing my disgust at this less than useless diagnosis and recommendation, Vicky felt the best course of action would be to rudely hang up and instruct us to call back later.

I called back and was shouted at whilst being told "I will hang up if you shout or swear at me" (ironic) who then made it perfectly clear that she would NOT be passing on a message to Dr Chloe as she's already spoken with someone.

It wasn't until I threatened further action including an official complaint that she reluctantly "supposedly" went to check with the doctor who although left a voicemail 5 minutes ago asking to call back now suddenly doesn't want to speak to her.

If this is how you treat people with mental health issues, or sick people in general you should all feel disgusted.

Please note that I have recordings of the phone call which was made clear at the start of my call.
Your receptionists need to undergo some SERIOUS training in both sensitivity, helpfulness and competency.

This is simply not good enough and if an apology is not provided we will be taking this further.

I don't understand why this practice has so many poor reviews. Every time I've spoken to reception or a doctor, I've been totally satisfied with the service! Very helpful and friendly.

Ive been registered with the practice since 2015 and throughly pleased with the service I've recieved via my GP, nurses and reception staff. Throughout the pandemic and most recently I've found the practice to be a safe haven I can reach out to when required.

I recently registered a family member with Thameside Medical practice and I am so very grateful for the prompt, kind and dedicated care they received. The doctor stayed beyond her shift to provide care. Since the initial visit, the online triage system to access appointments has been really easy to use and efficient. Thank you so much for being there.

Recently I’ve found that the process of booking an appointment to see a dr was much easier, and I was seen very quickly. Really thorough and empathetic care from the dr, and great support to get things sorted. Plus super efficient service to get covid and flu jabs.

I have been in Teddington for about 6 years now and always had a positive experience with this surgery. Today I went in to the surgery at 6.15 and was seen immediately by the GP. His service was amazing! I know we all criticise quicker than we compliment staff but these staff work extremely long hours and work extremely hard. I’d just like to say a huge thank you to the Doctor today who not only treated me but also listened and showed empathy.

My parents have both recently been diagnosed with 'mixed' dementia and all the staff at Thameside have been incredible. The recenpionists never make you feel like you are wasting their time and have been a mine of information. The GPs we have dealt with (in person and on telephone consultations) really listen to you with kindness and compassion. I can't recomend this practice highly enough - I only wish I lived closer so that I could register here!
