Great atmosphere, very friendly. Lovely English pub with good food and service. Sat outside in a beautiful sunny evening for an early dinner and cold glasses of wine.

Had their traditional Sunday roast beef. Quality of the beef was excellent (although prefer a little less done), gravy was very flavorful and roast potatoes with a large Yorkshire pudding was just about perfect.

Amelia, our server was a delight and so very nice and helpful.

Lovely pub! Great atmosphere and lots of seating! Was definitely the local’s favourite! Right in the centre of Witney and not too far of a walk from the hotel we were staying at. The staff were really great and attentive. You can also order on the app which made choosing really easy and not being put on the spot! Great beer on tap.

Came here recently for lunch. Really loved the location and had a lovely view of the church green from the window. Interiors were lovely too.

Service was okay. The person who greeted and seated us was super nice and bubbly. Our waitress on the other hand stared at us like we had just come from outer space every time we spoke. It was just odd and off-putting.

I’m sorry but the food here was not great at all. I had a pork & apple sandwich and the ciabatta was solid as a rock. I couldn’t cut it with a knife. The pork inside was gelatinous and inedible. The chips were nice though! My husband had a pie and the pastry was so thick and hard he couldn’t cut through that either.

All in all not a great experience and we won’t be back again unfortunately. Two stars for the location and the nice person who welcomed us when we came in.

Had an overnight stay in this beautiful English pub. Room was spacious and immaculately presented. Really comfortable beds. Breakfast was really tasty. Staff were very welcoming. Highly recommend The Fleece.

We booked a table for lunch taking a disabled guest. The service was outstanding. A waitress came to the car to help, the waiter Jo was truly magnificent helping the gentlemen into a seat. After we had eaten he helped us to the car and helped the very disabled guest into the passenger seat. Than you very much it was outstanding and the food was delicious.

We visited The Fleece for lunch with our daughter and 9 week old grandson (complete with pram) in order to meet his aged and frail great great aunt (complete with walker). The young staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The food was good. I certainly enjoyed my beef and ale pie. Nice pastry, jammed packed with tasty meat. I couldn’t resist nicking some of my daughter’s super chocolaty chocolate cheese cake! A most enjoyable visit. Thank you.

Christmas dinner. Rather disappointing. Quite expensive so expected a good meal but food was pre cooked and reheated resulting in soft roast potatoes and parsnips. The turkey was slices of turkey roll rather than carved roast bird and a very dodgy gravy. Service was good and pudding was nice, good atmosphere but come on, any carvery can rustle up a roast dinner and you failed.
