Stayed overnight as went to a wedding, and visited zoo the next day. Bar staff and reception staff all helpful. Asked for a fan to be put in the room but never arrived and we asked for rooms next to each other but ended up on different floors above each other. Lovely room for a wedding venue but grounds and bedrooms could do with a makeover as all a bit dated.

Complained had a man's top left under curtain cleaner should have seen this. Am disabled but could not get disabled room so for one night made do went in disabled toilet in hotel sadly had rails but normal toilet so asked at reception about disabled toilets all like this not good for hotel advertising disabled rooms and facilities. High raised toilets are not expensive and would help so many people. Had lovely meal in restaurant bed nice comfy shame about things after being reported left in room all the time!!!! good job not underpants!!!!!

We recently had our wedding reception at Marwell Hotel and had the best day. We had so many compliments
about the food and the hotel itself. Millie, our wonderful wedding coordinator was amazing and so helpful, she made sure our day went smoothly and kept checking on us throughout the day. The rooms were also lovely and comfortable. It was a brilliant day and the perfect venue for us so thank you to all the staff that made our day so amazing, especially Millie, Megan and Brooke. We are so pleased we celebrated our special day at Marwell and couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Lovely staff, plenty of parking close to the entrance. Set in a wooded area saw some deer out of our window. Hotel was really peaceful and the curtains kept the room nice and dark. Plenty of choice at the bar great overall stay would stop again if in the area.

There was no heating in the room and at - 5 outside you can imagine how cold it was. A plug in heater was provided but did very little. There are no phones in the rooms to contact anybody so had to Google the hotel and phone from our mobile. The receptionist did everything she could and moved us to a different room. No heating in the corridors so they were freezing as they are all glass walkways. Our room was adequate but dated. Very cold when we first got into it but at least that one had a radiator. No heating in the bathroom at all.

This is a 3 star low cost hotel so rating in line with expectations. We chose this hotel for close proximity to Winchester and New Forest, being 15 mins outside each. Also, it is dog friendly (apart from pool and restaurant) so a great opportunity to take our terrier. Rooms did the job, with bunk beds fine for our kids. Room-keeping however was a bit hit and miss and on one occasion we found our room wasn't fully closed when we returned.

We were there for our Christmas meal. A group of 14. We were the only people in the restaurant having a sit down meal. The hotel got a lot of pre ordered meals wrong. Tried to claim no one had ordered fish but we had email evidence to back up our claims. The meals were between average and very poor quality. The belly pork was mostly inedible. The young ladies serving were efficient and very polite. Despite our concerns the duty manager deemed it not necessary to come and discuss matters with us and left it to the waitresses to sort it out. We were given 3 bottles of house wine as compensation.
The surroundings were pleasant.
