The Barn Cottage & Annex Self Catering Accommodation Old Amersham

Absolutely fantastic accommodation in a gorgeous, quiet area of Old Amersham. We stayed in the adjoining annexe which was incredibly comfortable with excellent quality bedding and facilities. The hosts, John & Gill, couldn't be nicer or more welcoming - it really feels like a home from home. As we are moving to Amersham we are going to recommend the Barn & Annexe to everyone wanting to visit us/the area. Both John & Gill have a wealth of knowledge of the area and can advise where to eat, drink or relax! A really great find.

John and Gill are excellent hosts with a great sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed their facilities and hospitality. The rooms, kitchen, lounges, and patios were very clean and well-equipped. Thanks J&G for a superb stay. Will recommend "The Barn" to all our friends.

Our family fo five stayed at the barn and we loved it! John and Gill are lovely people and excellent hosts. So generous! We were quite weary from our journey to England from the US and they took great care of our every need. The Barn itself is also lovely - quiet and comfortable. We had our three teenagers with us and they loved it too. We would love to come back!

Fantastic accommodation in the heart of old Amersham. Everything you could wish for in a holiday let and more. Clean, well equipped and comfortable, to the point where you can forget you need to go out! And being where it is everything you need is close at hand, supermarket is 5 minute walk, fantastic restaurants (too many to choose from) and great walks from your front door. John and Gill are both friendly and helpful, fonts of local knowledge. It’s five stars because we can’t give six! We’re already sorting out our next visit.

What a lovely cottage! So clean and full of light, with a comfortable mattress and a well-stocked kitchen. We were most pleasantly surprised to find, not only the basics of milk, bread, and butter, but thoughtful extra items of beverages, veggies, and KitKat bars! Windows were open, as the weather was gorgeous -- perfect for enjoying the beautifully-furnished patio, which became an outdoor living room for us! Highly recommend and hope to visit again! Also can't say enough about how affable and welcoming our hosts were!

We cannot say enough good things about our stay at The Barn - we will definitely return as it is worth a trip to England just to stay at The Barn and Old Amersham. Gill and John are fabulous hosts and anticipated our every need.

We had a fantastic stay this weekend! John and Gill are amazing hosts- would highly recommend- the rooms were clean and very well presented. It is also in a fantastic location, a few minute walk from the main high street.

We had stayed in Amersham before but never discovered this hidden gem behind the Crown Hotel. John and Gill’s hospitality coupled with the comfortable and clean accommodation were the perfect mix for us. The location quietly located near to the High Street of Old Amersham was perfect for accessing everything.
