The hotel was spotless, the staff were lovely, welcoming and polite. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Only thing was there was no mirror over the table so i couldn't sit and do my hair and make up but this was only a small thing. We used this hotel as the base for our Alton Towers trip and although its a 40 minute drive it's a no longer distance then some of the hotels the Alton Towers website recommends. £5 pre paid breakfast is an absolute steal. The food in the evening is reaaonable priced and very nice. I would recommend and I would happily stay again.

Stayed for 1 night at this Courtyard during a short business trip to Newcastle under Lyme. Ample parking for the hotel, with registration of your vehicle at the hotel reception (maybe to prevent people parking whilst visiting the university)

Easy check in, and off to a lovely room. The hotel appears to be very new, or recently extensively refurbished, as everything was perfect.

Room was clean and big, as was the bathroom (with walk in shower). Room also had drinks making facilities and iron and ironing board.

There's a large restaurant on site, but as a captive market there's the expected inflated pricing. If you have a car plenty of restaurants within 10 minute drive.

Breakfast was a hot buffet, as well as cold options too.

Would definitely stay here again.

Didn't stay here just visited for a short while. Staff very helpful and on the ball. New hotel on university campus. Very modern. Ground floor spacious light, clean and quiet at the time of visit. Lifts to upper floors. Appears to be plenty of parking.

The rooms were clean, the staff were very friendly and the food at dinner was delicious. The only thing that let it down was breakfast. It was poorly cooked, the sausages were pink most days, and ran out quite often. This is especially contrasted by how delicious dinner is.

Our daughter is a uni here and it was a great convenient place to stay whilst visiting her. The staff were friendly, it was lovely and clean and the rooms were spacious. We would most certainly stay again.

Been a few times now and like it. We had a bit of an issue with the clean of our room on our second time - but staff sorted it really quickly and I was happy with the result. Shout out to Isabel on front desk - she’s amazing!

Fabulous hotel and staff very friendly. Carpets were dirty, such a shame as the room was great, bed comfortable.

However are stay was ruined by unruly quests in a room nearby, woken at 5am by screaming and shouting and doors banging this was ongoing until we left are room at 7.45 am take an early breakfast and leave

The fire alarms went off early in the morning on both nights of my stay. The staff weren't particularly sympathetic. We were essentially thrown out into sub- zero conditions, it had been raining and frozen solid so the ground was like an ice rink - AND THEY HADN'T EVEN GRITTED! Despite being aware of the colder weather. They also proceeded to usher us around the carpark without being able to really walk across it without falling over and passed it off as "we can't control the weather, can we?" No, you can't. But as a high quality hotel you can definitely take measures to mitigate risk. Not even so much as an apology. Would absolutely not recommend this hotel based on the gaffs and the service (or lack there of).
