Pharmacare

I was extremely disappointed with the service I received here yesterday this morning. I have lived less than a mile from this pharmacy for 25 years, have never had a problem before but was appalled by the dismissive and abrupt behaviour of the main pharmacist. I had gone in to ask for some advice about vaccines before I travel to Asia, one of the assistants immediately said "So you want malaria tablets", I responded that I was getting these elsewhere - I had used malaria tablets from elsewhere before and I was happy with the product so would be getting them from there again - the assistant then when to the pharmacist and whispered, despite being in clear earshot, "He's going travelling but getting his malaria tablets elsewhere". The pharmacist replied extremely sarcastically "Oh, that's nice", he then said "You're buying your malaria tablets elsewhere and you want me to spend 10 minutes giving you advice?" again in a sarcastic tone. He then told me that he "did not have the time to waste" giving me advice as he was "too busy". I was the only customer in the shop. I was looking for some medical advice from a trained professional and was completely dismissed because it appeared to them that I was not going to spend money in the pharmacy. Unless you're spending money in this establishment then I wouldn't using it as the staff are entirely unhelpful. I'll just wait three weeks for a GP appointment instead.

If you're looking for an arrogant, rude and bad-mannered pharmacist, this is the right place for you. Every time I've used this establishment in the past, the huffing from behind the counter and intense sarcasm becomes more and more obvious. The lead pharmacist (Aaron), can be described in a few words, not many of which are suitable for a public post. Upon a recent visit on which I had severe sinusitis and was really suffering, he tutted audibly when I asked if you needed a prescription for some nasal spray I'd been advised to use, and when I asked for the best alternative he stated: "you're wasting my time, what does it matter?". What made matters worse, is that his young assistant looked positively uncomfortable. Perhaps this imbecile should take some manners advice from his much more pleasant colleagues. (Alternative pharmacys available in Hornchurch, 2 minute drive away and are much more helpful). I'd strongly advise you to shop as well, a thoroughly unpleasant and rude individual that I will never deal with again. All the best, Aaron.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with the previous bad comments. I have used this chemist for nearly 47yrs now. Aaron and his team for many of them. He looks much younger than he is. He was a young man when he arrived. All the ladies are professional and helpful. Aaron himself has looked after both my husband and myself with great respect. He has improved the chemist no end, with all the diverse items now on sale. He has even had the front done, so his customers, if needed, has somewhere to park. As far as I’m concerned they are a great team and a credit to our row of much improved shops.

The owner himself was very rude on the phone. Very poor customer skills not to mention his poor telephone manner. As a healthcare professional myself i was disgusted by his rude mannerism it's almost as if he was up for fight. Quite embarrassing on his behalf as he just showed himself up and the fact he couldn't cope with working under pressure. Obviously in the wrong job! Looking at the reviews on here not the first time the owner has been rude on the phone. I shall be moving to another chemist. No wonder this chemist is the only one that had availability because not many people happy with the service!

Excellent pharmacy the owners employ superb staff. They all do absolutely everything they can to assist. Six stars out of five

I have used this pharmacy for over 17 years and would never go anywhere else. They are always helpful and professional. Once I enquired about teething granules, for my daughter and they were happy to order them, especially for me. Also, I was offered a blood pressure check, ended up wearing a 24 hour monitor and it highlighted that I was suffering from high blood pressure. I have since been put on tablets by my GP. My parents also come here and are treated with care and respect and would highly recommend the team.

I needed to get a thyroid injection as my GP didn't have any in stock, so the nurse suggested to get it done here. I emailed the chemist who confirmed they had some in stock. I then phoned today and asked if I could book a appointment and they said to me you can come in today to get it done. The staff were all so nice and friendly. The pharmacist who have me the injection was the nicest person I ever met and so so kind. The whole procedure took less than 10 mins. I will definitely be coming again In the future.
