They changed my address on file without my knowledge. Rang to sort this out and was told it was my fault and that I must have changed it. I had NOT!! I have been a my current address for over 3 years. Was told I need to bring proof of my current address so they could change it on the system. For CHRIST SAKE...I did not change my blooming address. No accountability for mistakes made. You need the patience of a Saint to use this service. Need to change GP soon god alone knows how that's gonna go. Wish me luck as I know I'm going to need it.

Only ever had a bad experience with this place. The people you come through to on the phone are generally really mardy and do not want to listen. Had an experience today where I got given antibiotics, I’ve taken one tablet and already I’m being violently sick, this is not a symptom I had prior to taking the antibiotics. I rang reception and they told me they would send a message to the doctor regarding the tablets and they will get back to me. I hear back 4 hours later only to be told ‘if it gets worse go to A&E’ I question what I originally wanted to know of do I carry on taken the tablets? Do I stop? Do I need a different antibiotic? The women on the phone sounds very annoyed and says ‘I’ll send another message to the doctor’ and hangs up the phone. Couldn’t even take a breath or asks how long it will be before I hear again. Good thing I haven’t needed to take another tablet in the time it’s taken to get back to me!

Impossible to get an appointment with the system they are using ring at 8.am to be told you are 47th caller you hold till position number 3 and your cut off ??. This has happened 6 days in a row and on a pay as you go phone is costly as well. When you do get through the receptionists thinks she is a doctor. This was a fantastic practice when it was Dr Adams and partners but now a total waste of time. We have moved to Spectrum in oadby 10x better. So avoid SLMG like the plague.

Not a good experience today or generally with this surgery. I am not sure what the solution is, but something needs to change. I am an ANP and work for the NHS in a very busy environment, we are short staffed, but we still manage to provide a service that is fit for purpose in my opinion.

Not sure if I'm just one of the lucky few but here's my experience.....
In the last two years, SLMG have tested for, and seen me through the diagnosis of, several chronic health conditions that require long term management. I need monthly bloods as part of this care and I am always given an appointment for this. Fit notes, although sometimes needing chasing, are always provided. Shared care agreement between my consultant and the surgery (now) running smoothly. Have been able to get a same day appt this week for an acute health issue, seen by a knowledgeable and friendly ANP. Considering the appalling strain that the NHS are currently under and the chronic underfunding over the last decade, I feel like I've received very good care from this practise.
Particular mention for Kirsty, who is amazing.

My mum tried for 4 days to get a doctors appointment with this practice, she was willing to go to any of their surgeries. Every time she rang, after being number 20, 49 and 15 in the queue she was told, no appointments available. My mum died at home, 29/11/21, 4 days after trying to see or even speak to a gp. Neglect a and failure to provide care at it’s best. I would STRONGLY suggest you forget this medical group and go somewhere else if you value your health and your loved ones lives
