I came to collect my online order and while I was waiting, there were 4 members of staffs at the till and could not be bother to called me over. I have to ask if anyone was free as it seemed like they could not see me waiting for them and carried on talking. I had a completely different experience from ALDO just a few shops away - great customer service and competitive price.

I thought I understood the definition of patronising but NO!! Having visited this branch of Office I am suitably chastened... I recently bought a pair of crystal Havaianos flip flops, and within a day had twisted my ankle from actually managing to fall out of them, as they are rubbery on the sole which sticks but the upper stretches allowing your foot to end up outside the shoe?! Undeterred I tried again and next time the upper just pulled out of the base. My flips just flopped so disappointed I attempted to get a refund from Office as they are unwearable.
I am aware that this brand sells well and how no one has had a Havaianos related misfortune is a miracle but maybe upon reaching 40 it becomes physically impossible to wear anything other than velcro brogues?
The manager was duly called and listened to my explanation (so far so good, but I was unaware he was just powering up...)
"We can't exchange something once it's been worn" (don't worry, just launch into attack mode, I didnt want any sympathy for nearly totalling myself while wearing a product from your store) I didn't ask for an exchange, I just don't want them full stop.
"We sell MILLIONS of these" (while eyeballing me forcefully to make sure I knew how wrong I was to have had an issue with this particular pair) I do have slightly more intelligence than he assumed- I have seen how well this brand sells, that's why I bought them. This pair however, is trying to kill me.
No "I'm sorry you've had this problem but...", or, "We can't offer you a refund, but you could contact the manufacturer" (I had to suggest this one)
Having worked in retail myself I know some customers are always on the take, but please try not to assume that we all are, or if you do, try not to show it quite so obviously in future. Most of the customers who shop in here can understand explanations too and will appreciate you taking the time to make them feel like their comments are valid and that you have understood their problem. They will then return to your shop and spend more money. As for me, I was so startled that I took my danger-flops with me and we had a last meal and watched the new Star Trek film together. They are now comfortably residing in my dustbin. The extra star is for the staff- they were absolutely lovely!

Shopped in here for trainers 10 years ago and the staff at the time were conceited and rude. I thought a gap of 10 years would even out the staffing problems - alas when buying a pair of exclusive to office trainers the staff were conceited and rude. Management should be training the staff better and to teach them that cutting through customers whilst they are talking is inappropriate, as is congregating around the desk without any engagement to the customer, as is not saying thank you as you walk away "that's all done" doesn't count - you retrieved a box from a shelf not fixed my busted boiler. Went to Lush next round the corner and the staff were aces.

Staff were ok. Asked for a size 5 by assistant she brought out one six foot & one foot 5. Had to ask another assistant. Nobody looked that bothered. Not a shop I would use a lot. Customer service could be a lot better.

Really poor got brought a pair of shoes for my birthday and there too small. Only went into bluewater to change them and now have to ask for the receipt, I hope they still have it. Nice to see there customer approach is we are all viewed as criminals. Really poor customer service. Thanks for a wasted trip...

Decent range of Vejas here. They are £5 more expensive here than most other shoe stores. You do get a 10% student discount here, but so do many shoe shops.
