I visited this branch to change my address and phone number. Waited in the queue for 30 minutes. The customer support on the desk asked me to go to ‘help & advice ‘ desk. I am still waiting in this queue for additional 20 minutes. Seriously? Just for changing address and phone almost an hour and the wait is still not over :(

Service is super slow and staff look depressed. I was rudely asked why I want to take my money even though I gave ID. Never again

Fri 21/6 visited Bromley to ask about opening an executors account to be told come back 0930 on the 26/6. My sister( who travelled from Gatwick) & I went to branch yesterday as instructed.
Unfortunately upon our arrival the Branch Manager and a counter lady told us they could not help us,
Even after going over the conversation from the week before they point blankly refused to assist us. They were totally un-interested. We went around in circles a bit, and were told we could write to the complaints dept if we had an issue..... I’ve been a customer for about 25 years and they didn’t care less.

We took a chance & went to NatWest bank 50 yards up the road. They were fabulous, very helpful, interested could meet my requirements. Happy to open a new bank account, taking our I’d & necessary documents while we waited, Even offered a coffee.
Very professional.
Jessica was fantastic. Very very good service.

Do yourself a favour -Ditch Halifax go to Natwest.

Says open till 5pm got there and it’s closed. They need to update their opening hours obviously. What a wast of my time. Even website says open till 5pm too.

I got in the bank to a wall of advisors who were pushing me to use the cash machines but I didn’t want to for a variety of reasons at which point she turned to her colleagues and made a comment about customers. Stood in a queue for a while while they got their mobile phones out, discussed baby showers etc as I had to wait for the 1 person serving. When I got to the front, told I should have used the cash machines again before anything else to which I explained that I found this quite rude as I really hadn’t wanted to and had already been told this, the lady at the desk was ok but the one at the front aggressively interrupted to say it wasn’t rude and when I tried to explain why I felt this way stormed off saying I obviously was in a mood. Not what I expected for what should have been an easy transaction especially as there were only 1 other customer in the bank at the time.

Today I went in , needed a lot of help. The staff was very helpful, considere and polite. I thank them so much for being patient with me and helped me solve my issues. 👍
