After discovering that my front wheel of my mountain bike had been stolen, I made some enquiries and came across Chainlink Cycle Shops in Hornchurch. Where possible I always try to keep my custom local and help to support local businesses. As I was impressed with what I believed at the time was an efficient service, I gave the owner 10.00 extra for fitting a brand new wheel and tyre.

When I got home that evening I was shocked to find that the tyre had gone down. Once I removed this - I noticed that the Inner Tube had previously been damged and covered up. I was very disappointed and wondered to myself, is there any wonder that our high street is in decline. AVOID this shop.

Excellent bike shop. Had a problem with gears on my bike. Didn't like the new gear system that would be replacing my old one. I told him I would prefer something smaller and inkeeping with the style and age of my bike. Replaced faulty lever with an older style, works perfectly. Very happy with the work done, good price as well. Would recommend.

Visited this shop today after phoning a couple of shops to do some repairs on my son's bikes. The other shops were quoting me 2 weeks waiting time but John told me he'd have a look today and not only did he do a great job but stayed open late to get them finished the same day. I was highly impressed and will definitely go back.

Dont bother going there. Extremely rude owner. Not sure if he is running a business or fixes up bikes as a hobby for himself. If it is a business I think he needs a few lessons in customer service. I asked him about a vintage Raleigh bike on his forecourt and he couldn't tell me anything about it other than it would be at least £700 after he had fixed it up (currently not roadworthy) and he had no timeframe for when that would be and refused to give any details of what he would do and to what spec. There was no other customer in his shop at the time. If you're gonna throw a price at the customer, be prepared to tell them about the product and your plans for it! A smile wouldn't go amiss either.

Customer service at its worse! Guy is literally the most unhelpful man I've ever met. He simply shouldn't be doing any customer facing role. I just needed a new inner-tube and he acted like i had walked into a strangers house. Is this not a bike shop? Hornchurch deserves better. Avoid!

Nice Professional knowledegable bike repairer. He took my rear axle in and changed the bearings for a very reasonable price. Would recommend calling him for updates on progress as he seems very busy.

Most miserable man ever! Acted as if we were an inconvenience to him. Reluctantly took the bike to him after a phone call that he seemed disinterested in to take. Didn't even open the gate to look at my bike or the tyres. I ended up leaving. Wasted journey. Absolute waste of time. Elm Park bike shop so much better.
