We stayed here for second time already and the hotel is very nice, rooms are clean, it's right next to the beach, and their spa is great, we were lucky enough to have it for ourselves only. The only reason why I'm leaving 4 stars is because of the breakfast, it was not nice or tasty, but maybe next time we will try to order it instead of using the buffet. We also had to explain for 10 minutes to the staff that we paid for our breakfast on the day of check in, but they made us stand there awkwardly claiming we or not in the system. The overall experience was however pleasant, the atmosphere in the evening was nice just to grab a drink and watch the beach.

Small room but functional with desk and chair. Bathroom is a nice size. Great location to catch the ferry or walk on the beach. Ferry noise all night but that is to be expected. Noise isn't too bad with window closed.

At over $200 a night I was expecting a continental breakfast but there was none. Restaurant and coffee shop downstairs are pricey.

Definitely an older building. Small elevator.

Roughly 400 year old building on the sea front. Freshly renovated. Comfortable. Great location to explore Dover. Staff are friendly. Good bar at ground level. Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill in the premises.

· The whole experience was awful from start to finish. First room was a joke tiny!! double bed in a room there was a dirty cup in the bathroom sink water was pouring onto our window from a broken overflow pipe. We couldn’t stay here we asked for our money back, but management offered us another room I was shown around but the room was dirty, cups food on the side etc this room was however slightly bigger with a bigger bed. Reception told us the room had to be cleaned and made up so with waited at the bar with complimentary drinks from the staff. After this time we was told that the room we was shown wasn’t available and we was given room 422 After a few trips up and down to the 4th floor using the stairs as they have a tiny lift that’s used by staff as well as guest, as soon as we entered the room the smell smacked you in the face, we sat for a few minutes in disbelief and the smell just got worse it was urine! The smell was coming from the sofa it had urine all down the front of it, the smell was just WELL you had to be there! I pulled the dressing room chair out only to find a big chuck of black hair stuck in the seat with a hair bow. (We have pictures) that was the finally strew we called reception to let them know and his response was we will get housekeeping to sort it out, this wasn’t possible the smell was disgusting. After a few wasted hours the hotel gave us a full refund. I can honestly say we Will never return to the hotel again. Very Dirty!

Lovely friendly hotel! Some rooms appear to have be renovated sooner than others! The newer rooms are very modern and fresh looking, my rooms was yet to have been renovated just the en suite but was very nice and clean still.

Had an overnight stay here. Tired rooms, poor verging on rude bar service, an unbelievable £20 extra early check in fee. As a hotel there are better nicer places in Dover. However on a plus the restaurant was lovely and restaurant staff were really friendly

I totally love this place. Staff are amazing, so friendly, and always willing to help or accommodate where possible.I enjoy returning as it feels quite homely. Great breakfast selection. Sunday lunches are so tasty. It's simple to book in, and timing's are explained. It's so welcoming. I would recommend a stay here. You won't be disappointed.

The Worst service I have had during the stay in any hotel at this level! We paid 200 Euro for a night but couldn’t even get a room service while we want to order some drinks to our room. The management of the hotel is so bad, no, there is no management.
We saw people sending drinks so we also want it to our room but As the staff said they don’t have enough people to do this because they have a huge party going on! But that is out of our business!!! Why the other people could have room service but we couldn’t?
The first time we called they said we need to wait one hour and the second time we called which was just 2 mins after the first call they said they don’t do any room service anymore but when we go down to the bar and asked they said they are still doing room service! Obviously they don’t communicate with each other and the people who is picking up the phone call are deciding all the things by herself!!!
Fortunately the bar guy solve all the problems for us and helped us who is the best server in the whole hotel who is trying to save the reputation of this hotel! But hotel management is not solo performance he cannot help the hotel manager to do the management.

Also when we just arrived we want to reserve a table for drinks and they said they don’t take reservations but when we went there again after a few hours there are reservations signs on the tables so obviously they take reservations but it excludes us!
We are so disappointed about the service!
