Desborough Surgery

Well most of the doctors and nurses and receptionists are good and pleasant to talk to but my last phone call with nurse practitioner was very unpleasant, she reminded me to feed and give my 8 months old drink like i was not doing it for all these months plus i have other 2 kids. Then i was told to buy ear thermometers and told me i can not tell if my doughter has temperature by touching her like i need to prove it by technology and not with common sense and bit of a common medical knowledge what each mum have, she talked to me down I wished i could defend my self but i always show respect to all medical stuff its so hard sometimes. Hope she will improve the way she talks to people.

Been using this surgery for over 10 years now, and at times quite a lot.
Hand on heart I can say that I have never had a problem with a doctor, receptionist or anyone else I have spoken to within the 2 surgery's of Desborough and Rothwell. And I am greatful for their hard work.

I used to be in and out very quickly, but my last 3 visits have resulted in at least half an hour wait, and there was either one person ahead of me in the queue, or no one. Also had to wear a mask even though they are no longer compulsory and there was no one else there. Stupid policy!!
Excellent care as always from the g.p, no complaints there.

New to the surgery, needed an appointment asap, the lovely receptionist was able to help me out. Fabulous service.

Every time when I call I speak with very kind and helpful receptionist ! They always try to help. Doctors are very nice and knowledgeable... I have never been left without help.

I have always found Desborough Surgery very helpful and caring. Today has been no exception

Worst surgery ever. Never seem to have any appointments or GP’s. Automated service to tell you no appointments left. The GP’s are there to stop the flow of people to Kettering A&E and Corby urgent care, not be encouraging it. This is a theme with the Surgery over multiple years, that they never address. They have 2 buildings with 20+ consultation rooms and never any GP’s available. Absolutely appalling.

The booking system is flawed. You are told to ring at 8 for appointments to be in a queue of over 30 people. You are then told the appointments are gone by 0830. So the whole process is repeated the next day with a possibility of the same outcome. How is this a fair system. Surely the remaining people in the queue should have the priority for the next upcoming appointments??
