A little patience was required to get through on the phone but when I did the receptionist was kind, helpful and efficient. I received a telephone appointment on the day it was needed and when I needed urgent bloods this was organised promptly at the surgery. EVERYONE I have encountered has been friendly, calm, helpful and professional. The hard wrap this surgery gets is not deserved from my point of view. Thank you Village Medical Centre.

I’ve been with this doctors surgeon for a few years now and I can honestly say I have nothing positive to feed back. Every appointment I have (eventually) made I’ve been thrown medication at my issue rather than fully evaluating.

Last week Wednesday I ordered a repeat prescription, I was told it would take 3 workings days to process and be sent to my designated pharmacist. Everyday since I have gone to the pharmacy to check if it is available to be told no it’s not on the system. When I finally got through to the doctors on THURSDAY they said they can see it on their system but nothing has been done with it. Considering I told them that my current meds have run out and I am experiencing extremely bad withdrawal and my depression is getting worst as a side effect, they have put no urgency on the matter!

Absolutely disgusting service and I will be changing doctors as soon as possible as my work is now getting effected by their lack of care for their patients!

I wish I could give zero stars. I persuaded my 79 year old husband to ring surgery due to severe lower leg pain in July. No appointments were available until end of August! When he mentioned how pain was disturbing his sleep and impacting his life, the receptionist said you need to be seen, and booked him in that day, 12th July. We were surprised and pleased the receptionist was so helpful. He was also booked in for blood test 2nd Aug. As a surprise I booked a 4 night hotel stay and we left on 3rd Aug. The surgery sent text saying results were back and he would need to book appointment. So husband rang this morning, and receptionist said he could make appointment for next Thursday. Husband asked her to book him in. She replied, you have to book online, he explained our laptop was at home. He explained we were cutting our holiday short, losing 2 of our 4 days is he was in severe pain with his leg and now also has a terrible cough. Luckily lateral flow test was negative. So he is really unwell. He has hardly used our surgery, the doctors and receptionist wouldn’t know him from Adam. When needed though, he can’t be seen. He is coughing and gasping and bringing up lots of catarrh, feels terrible with leg pain and now has an awful cough and the receptionist couldn’t care less. As others have said, this surgery is so badly run, it is NOT fit for purpose. Surgery needs complete overhaul, a decent practice manager, and staff who at least care!
Just as an update…… tried to book an appointment (5th Aug) and no appointments in August, and you can’t book appointments for September! Hope it’s not a blood clot in my poor husband’s leg. So when will we find out what’s wrong?

Worst place on the planet.
Receptionist spreads all your business to other mothers at the school. Abuses her authority.
Practice manager don't care. Clearly don't take data protection seriously not to mention discussing other patients as soon as they leave for whole waiting room to here. Disgusting so unprofessional

In a world full of negativity at the moment, I thought I had to write in to say what an asset to the medical centre Nurse Jackie Williams is. Despite all the changes of ownership, covid and staff changes, she has been a "constant" throughout. She always welcomes me with a happy positive attitude and her knowledge and skill set is appreciated. From someone who had a phobia of needles I can say that she has changed my perception to giving blood. She is caring and reassuring and actually listens to her patients, which seems rare these days. I hope she remains with the Great Denham Medical Centre as she is a credit to the team.

Absolutely useless think they know better than consultants tell you to ring for an appointment and first get told they have none then when you tell them they asked you to make an appointment give you one between 9am and 5pm with a pharmacist really rubbish

I been trying to book an appointment for my son who has had stomach pains and vomiting for days. Kept phoning at 8am for appointment. Waiting on phone for nearvan hour each time to be told no appointments and I should phone at 8 am if I wanted one ...I did...I WAS ON HOLD FOR AN HOUR!! I ask to book an appointment for later in in month ( 7th Dec today) they said nothing available. I asked if I could book for next month. They said No!! We don't open bookings until end of month?!
What am I to do. No help at all. She than she just said if gets worst contact 111 or go to A &E...
Why can't I get a doctor's appointment but can book a dental appointment for 6 months later or get my dog a vet appointment?? I don't use it much but when I do the service is terrible from the reception. No help what so ever

Since the change of ownership I feel the practice has really improved. Yes, like many practices you do have to ring at 8am on the day to be seen the same day, but I have nearly always been able to get appointments for my sons and myself that way. The queue call back service is a brilliant idea. Have had one bad experience with a locum but otherwise the doctors and nurses have all been friendly, reassuring and thorough and the receptionists are positive and work hard
