MOT and Service of my car was done at Toyota Beadles Maidstone on 2nd of December. 2 weeks before this service and MOT, it had shown engine warning while I was on my way so I had got that diagnosed by a local garrage. I was told that O2 sensor is faulty but it could be a false alarm so the mechanic had switched off the warning light and said book an appointment if that turns on again. So far so good.
Service and MOT of my car was done at Toyota Beadles on 2nd of December and I had reported this to the enginner. I had requested them to diagnose the engine as well. When I received the car I was told it was diagnosed and no fault was found. The trouble starts from here.
Two weeks later the engine light came on again and when I visited them on 24th of December I was told that diagnosis will cost me a significant amount (at least this amount is significant for me) and was given an appointment for 30th of Dec. I could not find that amount in my previous invoice of 2nd of Dec so I presume the engine was not diagnosed. - Very dissatisfied
The screen wash had also dried 1 within 1 week of service and MOT so I believe that was also not checked/topped up during service. - I was already dissatisfied
When I visited the center again on 30th of Dec, and I waited for 2 hours and then I was told that KE censor is faulty but the part is not available and I should visit again on Wednesday 4th of January. I had planned to visit my friends during new year and I had to change the plans because the part was not available. If they would have checked the problem and stock in my previous visits then it would have been made a difference.
Anyways, with this experience I am not willing to visit their again on 4th of Jan and will get it fixed by a local garrage tomorrow but wanted to share my experience here. I am yet to know whether I will have to pay for diagnosis but will check when I call the center to cancel my appointment on 4th Jan .
